For you non-history buffs, the United States did a similar thing a long time ago with electrical power with the Rural Electric Program. You can read more about it here.
if one publishes an article in a US newspaper, the intended audience is the US. If someone publishes on the Internet, the intent can not be limited to physical borders.
CNN used (still does?) to sell CDs of the TOP 100 story of the previous year. I bought the first one for 1993 and it was just a bunch of minute long video clips of CNN coverage of top evnents. I think they where in Real format, but I'm not sure.
So, they already got a bunch of the clips 'digatized' and I guess they are just moving that kind of service onto the web.
Did you not notice that the posted story time was an hour before the real time, in any time zone, or am I drunk off cough surrup again? The posts time are off by an hour too. You just posted this comment that I'm replying to a few minutes ago but it says its been there for more then an hour!
True, and this story says it was posted "11pm April 1st" on my screen when it was really posted on 12am April 2nd. Hince, as my orginal post said, their clocks are not set for daylight savings time.
Yea, but before Daylight-savings-time Slashdot was on eastern time. Are you telling me it as a sudden unannouced descion for slashdot to move to Central time?
Does anyone else find it funny that ComanderTaco never posted anything? I guess he learned from last year that everyone hates this and let other writters get flamed.
I don't get it! I downloaded the plug-in, tryed it in IE and Netscape, reinstalled it, even tried it on a friend's Mac a few times. But as hard as I try, I still can't see Squant!

So I guess a good thing to donate to your local homeless shelter would be NERF guns.
So does this mean my donation to the Salvation Army will be used to set up a LAN at my local homeless shelter?
If how about useing Speak Freely or Open Phone?

And now they want to test their upgrade with a good old front page Slahdot link.
This means that Worlds.com is going to pick up the tab from that big lawsuit, right?

No, reading Slashdot isn't THAT taxing on my cpu.
Does this mean that people who over-clock thier P4 systems are auctually likely to SLOW their cpu down?
Oh man. Does this mean we will have a Kids Battle Bots, a generation X battlebots, and a "Super football like coverage" Bottlebots?
So does that mean that all the Austrilan porn sites will now have to switch their servers from http to POP3?

How can this plugin add a color-gun to my CRT monitor? Adding hardware with software sounds little too 1337 for me.
