People. The terminology is not called monitor spanning. Apple has had multi monitor support since the late 80's. Just turn your machine off, plug another card in, hook up a monitor and reboot. Then open the monitors control panel and arrainge your monitors. This is simply "multiple monitor support" and should be called such. In 1991, I had 4 monitors on my MacII FX just to see if it could be done.
I do have a mac g3 500 powerbook and a g3 266 powerbook and multiple monitor support is only provided on the g3 500. If you have a pci slot, I bet you could get a pci video card, something I'd love to do. I really want to be able to have 3 monitors on my laptop.
7.1 pounds is bullshit. The aluminum heat sink IS larger but I would measure its weight in ounces not pounds. Stop spreading disinformation.

Heh, I walk across the street and get access from mine. Throw a better antenna onto the macs and see what happens. There are a plethora of articles out on the net about this.

This is saddly, a non event. With one Mac laptop with an airport card installed, you can turn on "Software base station" and that mac becomes your wireless hub.
Turn on personal web and file sharing and put a 1 hour mp3 mix on your web folder. Have the other guy on a pc or mac in the other car, plug their audio output into their car stereo and you have audio streaming over wireless from car to car.
Why throw a linksys into the mix when you don't need it?
