    We studied the ocean in my 4+ years of college and climate systems and what I got out of it is "don't fuck with it because you don't know what will happen."

    pour fish oil and rancid milk in their sunroofs so they get into the carpet.
    Put water in their gas tanks.
    Shove ball pearings in their mufflers.
    Shove bannanas and potatoes in their exhausts.
    Pour Nail polish remover on their car's paint.
    Sandpaper their windshield.
    Pour sulfuric or battery acid on their roofs.
    Place sulfuric acid packs in their mufflers.
    Spray sulfiric acid on their brakes, rims and paint.
    On a hot day, put M&Ms or pennies on their paint.
    Rip off their external mirrors.
    Superglue or epoxy in their door locks.

    Use a tape recorder.

    Anyone care to compare the value of this project should put a $$ sign on their TIME and then check out used macs selling on places like http://www.Craigslist.org.

    Unless you are in school and po or your time is just not worth a lot of money (or you have more time than money), this project is not cost effecient. Cool for sure though.

    And here's why
    1) bass ackwards command keys. Command N should be NEW FILE. Not new window. I live by my shortcuts and that's just stupid.
    2) Where the HELL did file selection ala keyboard go in open and save dialogs? You can't type the name of your file and select your file. ARRRRGGH! Die Steve Die!
    3) Where is the Type and Creator info? Why in the name of all that is holy and good did Apple drop that for the .xxx extension based crap? I wants my types and creators in the damn files. Put the info in the headers fer god's sake and ax the foocking extensions
    4) LET ME RENAME MY SYSTEM FOLDER WHEN I WANT TO.
    5) There is NO graphical indicators to indicate when you should single click or double click on an item. I find this very disconcerting. Save me Tog! Save me!

    Oh, I'll spare everyone at this point lest I rant.

    Oops.

    It seems that details that matter to the Few, the proud, the hardcore Mac faithful aren't there. I can get the pinwheel of death to show in a g4 667 or a g3 400 just by doing basic stuff.

    The fine tuning that made 9 WORK for me that I live on is not there. For me, Unix is user hostile and it may be the underpinnings of a stable foundation for the OS but I want to be even more isolated from it.

    With my powerbook g3 500, no external antenna and that scanning script I have, we can drive at 60 to 65 miles an hour and still pick up networks. We tested this from Napa to San Francisco in my buddy's Blazer. Tests in my Beemer at 138 mph have been less successful.

    So I leave it to the reader to further refine the "pickup speed" if he/she so desires.

    Paste this script into Applescript's script editor, open the event log, make sure speech is enabled and your volume is up. Check show events and the show results toggles. Now drive around town. Whenever you encounter an 802.11 access point, the computer will speak to you with the name of the network. The network's specifics will be listed in the event log. Enjoy, Zav

    That is warm salt water. Use it to gargle. For viral throat infection (clear phlegm).

    It works. It is simple My DR told me about it. Really helps with colds. Pretty amazing if you think about it.

    I have my theories but you don't need to hear em. Just try it. 2 to 3 times a day or when your throat is sore.

    We need to get together, identify solutions for spam, document them, approach congress through the appropriate channels and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

    Spammers should be shot but till they are, we'll keep getting it so let's do something about it.

    What are the business implications against spam?
    What is the cost to an ISP of spam traffic?
    What is the cost to a company or individual of their mailserver getting hijacked for spam?
    How much does spam cost us in a social level, quality of life level, loss of time level and business distraction level?
