Motorola recently released a PDF (which it has pulled since then) with info about the new integrated processor MPC8245. This PDF also includes
new processor roadmap wich shows a "7457 (0.13mu Cu SOI) 867-1833 MHz"
to ship in (early) 2003, and a proposed "7457-RM" (with integrated DDR
interface) 1.3 - 2.0+ GHz later.
So when the CIA locks up somebody anywhere else than in a prison, it's okay?
Plus there is also the huge number of people arrested after 9/11 and still in jail without a trial or even an accusation. More than dubious, even if a judge put them there.
Did you miss the fact that common citizens use guns 2.5 million times a year to deter crimes?
Well, that "fact" is not in the statistic you stated.
In 98 percent of all cases, simply brandishing a gun is sufficient to stop a crime.
Odd, the people usualy "brandishing a gun" are usually criminals. Drawing a gun on them will probably make them shoot you. So you having a gun escalates the crime, instead of preventing it.
Posting a selected (and small) number of cases that prove your point does not make a statistic.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit implementations support most of the
instructions defined by the PowerPC architecture. The 64-bit
implementations support all the application instructions supported
32-bit implementations as well as the following application
instructions: [...]
The 64-bit implementations have two modes of operation determined
by the 64-bit mode (SF) bit in the Machine State Register:
64-bit mode (SF set to 1) and 32-bit mode (SF cleared to 0), for
compatibility with 32-bit implementations. Application code for
32-bit implementations executes without modification on 64-bit
implementations running in 32-bit mode, yielding identical results.
All 64-bit implementation instructions are available in both
modes. Identical instructions, however, may produce different
results in 32-bit and 64-bit modes:
Addressing--Although effective addresses in 64-bit implementations
have 64 bits, in 32-bit mode, the high-order 32 bits
are ignored during data access and set to zero during instruction
fetching. This modification of the high-order bits of the
address might produce an unexpected jump following the
transition from 64-bit mode to 32-bit mode.
Status Bits--The register result of arithmetic and logical
instructions is independent of mode, but setting of status bits
depends on the mode. In particular, recording, carry-bit-setting,
or overflow-bit-setting instruction forms write the status
bits relative to the mode. Changing the mode in the middle of
a code sequence that depends on one of these status bits can
lead to unexpected results.
Count Register--The entire 64-bit value in the Count Register
of a 64-bit implementation is decremented, even though conditional
branches in 32-bit mode only test the low-order 32 bits
for zero.
IOW, even if they use "32-bit compat mode", there should be now speed penalty whatsoever.
I meant where are the statistics that support your claim "But carrying a weapon changes the statistical outcome of that victimization", not a statistic that proves that guns are well liked in the criminal community, which is basically my point.

Speaking of.tv - what happens to that TLD should Tuvalu actually sinks into the ocean?
If the Army sends you overseas and you rape a local girl, you're going to wish you had brought her home and done it where the US civilian courts could punish you.
However if the US Marine Corps sends you to Italy, and you fly into the cable of a cable car, "taking risks", flying too low, and killing 20 people - you get off free.
Cough!

Sorenson gave Macromedia basically the same codec for Flash MX. AFAIK there is no version for Linux yet. QED.
Yes, but then there are no clouds at 41 km height.
BTW, it's Knight Rider. Not that I care.
Bringing out a product fast is anything but a guaranty to have a fast product.
Only if they found a very clever way of hiding it from the SEC.
Didn't Gates recently diversify his portfolio from mostly MS stock to adding a lot of pharmaceutical companies?
I'd say from overcharging MS stock buyers (most of Gates' wealth is MS stock), but same thing.
Plus there is also the huge number of people arrested after 9/11 and still in jail without a trial or even an accusation. More than dubious, even if a judge put them there.
Probably less than innocents in US death rows - but who is counting.
Ah, no it wasn't. Put up or piss off.

So where are these statistics.
What do you mean, "Europe only has smaller rockets"? What about the Ariane 5?
Well, Nasa has stopped their ISS crew rescue vehicle program last year for cost reasons. See here.
So owning a gun does not prevent you from becoming a victim.
Nope, it doesn't.
However if the US Marine Corps sends you to Italy, and you fly into the cable of a cable car, "taking risks", flying too low, and killing 20 people - you get off free.
Where does it say you have the right to own it anonymously?
What do you mean, "gun wass stolen"? Aren't guns supposed to prevent that from happening?
America, home of the paranoid.
