(1) Others have mentioned the problems with version management. As for the sensible name, what is the sensible name for a drawing (et bloody cetera)?
(2) Many apps still take some seconds (which is quite long when you have adopted to the speed of modern computers) to open. Having to wait that amount of time everytime I want to work on an other document - thanks for removing the cruft, klutz. As for the big fucking sign telling you wich app is open...
(3) Oh, wow, he doesn't see the problems of the "obvious way to save a document in a particular folder is to drag it to that folder in the file manager" - like not seeing that folder, for example. He is keeping his pace well.
You are right, and that can be easily shown by letting IE crash (which will happen sooner or later). All "new" windows will crash with the bad one, all actualy new IE instances won't.
QUESTION: I'm sure many Israelis are wondering what the difference is between this and in targeted killing. And me, too.
MR. BOUCHER: As far as the events in Yemen, I have nothing for you on that.
QUESTION: But can you say that you are against targeted killings?
MR. BOUCHER: Our policy on targeted killings in the Israeli-Palestinian context has not changed --
QUESTION: And in other contexts?
MR. BOUCHER: I'm not going to speculate.
QUESTION: Well, so you have one rule for one conflict and another rule for another conflict?
MR. BOUCHER: I would say that -- if you look back at what we have said about targeted killings in the Israeli-Palestinian context, you will find that the reasons we have given do not necessarily apply in other circumstances.
Let's see, all Talibans followed a rather strict dress code, and everybody recognized them through their cloths - yet this does not count as a uniform?
Windows will do about the same, just that the "progress bar" will wizz from empty to full for every single word instead of the whole job, giving no usefull indication of how much work has been done.
Reminds me of the test c't (German computer magazine) once did on the Mobile P3 (article in German. Doing some slow typing in word actually uses more power than playing MPEG2 videos (image).
Sankt-Florians-Prinzip (Saint Florian principle): ""Heiliger Sankt Florian, verschon mein Haus, zünd and're an!" - "Holy Saint Florian, spare my house, put others on fire". As in "If it has to happen, let it happen somewhere else".
Operation Lune (Google cache), a french documentary with interviews with Christiane Kubrick (Stanley Kubricks' widow), Henry Kissinger, Donald Rumsfeld and many more. See it if you can - which is somewhat unlikely in the US.
Yeah, you also never have to change the CD/DVD in the drive, and you have given up on floppies a long time ago anyway. You also don't plug in external hardware from time to time.
So why do you describe the behaviour of windows?
Neither do CIA agents wear uniforms. Shoot them on sight.

(4) Shockhorror, he's right.

You obviously have never used a Mac. Thanks for playing.

So where does Free Body Culture fit in? Well, probably not in any geek cruises ;-)
I don't think Troll 956 is ever satisfied.

While Conservatives haven't had a new idea for as long as they can remember. That's the whole point ;-)
That coming from Echelon country is preposterous.

If you're too stupid to buy a multi-button mouse for the Mac, you shouldn't be using computers.
Yet Ogg Vorbis beat AAC (which was about equal to the others tested) at 128 kBit/s at the test talked about here.

Or even better yet, a criminal animal rights activist.
Pssst! Don't let the "build your own PC" guys hear that.
You mean like AMD? With more than 20% marketshare and bleeding money? Yeah, right, I know this is just because of their Flash memory business.
Yes, the binaries can be "FAT" - but currently not a single one is. IOW all software would have to be recompiled (if that is possible at all).
Wrong.
Uhh. Cache (SRAM) has far lower latency than DRAM. IOW you already have the data from cache when your RAM hasn't started sending it yet.
