  1. Re:Good on Terahertz Scanners See Inside Sealed Packages · · Score: 1

Supply exists only because of demand. Waiting for supply to dry up is like hoping for Michael Jackson to be a normal human being again.

  3. Wireless peer 2 peer internet on House Bill to Make File-Sharing an Automatic Felony · · Score: 1

I guess this is just more incentive to build a "peer 2 peer" Internet using wireless. The corporate network can have its fiber the rest of us will go wireless. This is ofcourse a pipe dream, but, in theory ISPs can become obsolete. I don't know what I'm rambling about...

  4. Linear vs non-linear story telling on Will Video Surfing Become Reality? · · Score: 2, Funny

Text does not have to be read from start to finish to provide a satisfactory result to the viewer - that's why it's so good on the web. Video is intended to be viewed from start to finish - I can't imagine clicking the back button to finish watching Austin Powers while I just finished watching the original to get the joke reference. Ok, maybe once or twice but more than that and you'll spend countless hours infront of the TV going from video to video and never really acc.....oh wait.....nevermind.

  6. Re:As long as they get rid of file extensions... on Next Windows to Have New Filesystem · · Score: 1

"My Music" folder in XP already does exactly that. It reads the MP3 tags and sorts by genre, artist, album etc...

  7. e-smith server - same thing on Plug-n-Play Server And Network · · Score: 2, Informative

I've been using e-smith server for over a year. Based on RH e-smith does the same things as the iMASS - with one notable exception - it's a free ISO download which can work on almost any Intel box (mine is a P90 w 32MB RAM :)). It works great as an firewall*(if you think proxy/NAT is a firewall)/email/web/print/storage server, it even comes with pppoe, dynamic dhcp client and IMP (webmail). Not that I'm shiling for e-smith, but damn if it ain't easy and frankly - good!

  8. Holywood: US propaganda machine on Review: Black Hawk Down · · Score: 1

Sure, this movie is different...It's a political anti-war statement...and Jerry Brukheimer is also responsible for Armageddon - nail in coffin.

  9. Re:former Soviet republic on Ukraine Tries to Avoid U.S. Trade Restrictions · · Score: 1

The US pressured Ukraine into destroying or giving all their nukes to Russia as a condition to geting foreign aid.

  10. Maybe it's the "sheeple" getting back at us... on Wired on Autism in the Valley · · Score: 1

Maybe they are so offended that we don't like being sheep, that they can only conclude that we must be sick!

    Hey, wasn't "Porky's" a Canadian movie?

I got a TNT2 that keeps getting faster with every Detonator driver release. Unfortunately PONG is almost unplayable now. Sigh.
