Napster is still a bunch of different, un-conected servers, thats why you almost never see your friends online (they're loged into a different server). Napster officials are working to fix this problem, but until then. . . . .
Boston Acoustics makes a great set of speakers called the Media Theater. For $250, you get 2 high end satelites, a kick ass subwofer, it suports Dolby Digital Surround, and, if you have a digital audio out on your soundcard, you can utilize this feature to the fullest. But even if you don't have the Digital Audio Jack, youre still getting a kick-ass system. They also ofer surround-sound speakers for $99.
Here, at California U of PA, we all just password our MP3 directories, but almost everyone has the same password, therefore, you can still trade MP3's, but it's secure.
With more and more gamers getting direct connections like ISDN, cable, and DSL, you have to wonder if there will be a market for this. Not to mention that yourm ISP has to be able to give you good service, we have Bell Atlantic at home (I'm at college enjoying our dual T1) and we get disconnected at least once an hour. For this to work, the ISP's will have to incorpoate this technology into there systems and be able to handle large amounts of traffic with out disconecting people (which Bell Atlantic does do).
So, I'm skeptical, if anyone has used one, coulda let me know, I'd be tempted to buy one, but I dont wanna give up my voice modem, and I'm all out of PCI slots.
What could Cash registers possibly have to do with Netscape? Unless we're talkin online transactions here, I think this is just another BS lawsuit from one company to another.
"Netscape to incorporate Built in Cash Register feature", give me a break.
Intel's a big corporation, and they're support (or lack of it) may mean the demise of firewire of the PC side of things. But I think the Apple has every intention to stand behind it's product and support it, they're for, I think it'll be around for a good while longer on Macs'
My new computer came with a program that lets you convert a CD-RW into a disk, so you can just go file/save into that location *like a zip disk*, Anyway, I'm a little shacky on the matter and haven't actually used it. Any comments?
Oh Yea, you can run ScanDisk and Defrag on them too.
Considering the history of both companies, I don't think this will be a problem. Nintendo is a much stronger comany then atari and shoulnd't have as much problems releasing a new system to the market.
Does anyone have the web-stie address where we can see these web-cams?
(my e-mail is down, Someone needs to tell Exodus to never cut the Fiber-optic cable)
I wonder who stuffed his pockets with cash to get him to write that essay?

A computerized sailboat, how about takin some of that money and making a browser that works??
You'd think with all that money, someone could make a stable, open source browser.
Do NOT refer to mozilla, I already know about mozilla, however, that is done by "volunteers", not a company.
How do they expect to sell this on-line, especially in MP3.
Why would anyone but this when you could probably find it on Napster or any other MP3 board.
I dont think they can expect to sell very many of these in MP3, they should just give them away so and save us the trouble.
It's called SweetMixxPro and it seems pretty cool. I just rembered seeing this post, so I submitted this.
Maybe now I will be able to install Quick Time 4 in Netscape. I was never able to do it in 4.6

What if, like most other message boards, you made people have a log in to post a comment or message?
Well, heres the problem with those.
1. I've had mulitple zip disks lost to the "Click of Death"
2. Super Disks are REALLLY slow.
Whick makes the CD-RW's a good idea.

Tyhe story only says 900

It's still a good story, right. Seemed pretty interesting to me anyway.
