I can't be the only person who can already hear these things because of the whine that their motors put out at low speeds. It isn't loud, but neither is a relatively modern internal combustion powered passenger car at parking lot speed.
The idea was not conveyed correctly, since greed is not the same as good_stuff_gets_done. `if( greed.causes( goodThings ) ) {...}' or `if( goodThings.causedBy( greed ) ) {...}' or something else to that effect would have been correct.
With OS X, the issue is not whether individual applications use multiple processors, like it was in OS 9. OS X distributes processes and threads between the two processors on its own. So, as long as you're running more than one process (is your computer on?), dual processors offer a world of benefit.
I'd say that $199 is overpriced for a CD-MP3 player. I'd rather just fork out the extra $100 and get a nice 5 gig iPod, complete with near-instantaneous (esp. compared to CD burning) file transfer and complete integration with my music software. That, or there are plenty of otherjukeboxes available right in your price range.
Note quite. Claris made ClarisWorks before Apple liquidated the company and branded it AppleWorks. Microsoft Works is completely different. The two software do not share any common heritage.

This is Mythbusters. They'll do whatever they think is coolest, correctness be damned.

My poor little 350MHz Sawtooth G4 plays it just fine using MPlayer OSX -- either the DiVX Windoze player sucks or peecees really are that slow.

Yeah, IP over Firewire for OS X has been around for some time, too. It's just been updated.
Unfortunately, there is no trial version of OmniWeb 4.5 sneakypeeks. You need a real license, which is a bunch of crap, IMO.

I followed the macparts.de instructions on OS 9 and they work just fine. So it's certainly not hardware.
Macs have Iomega drivers in by default; what's stopping peecee makers? Heck, I'm pretty sure a small enough Mac OS installation can boot off Zip.
