The big pipe is hard to leave once you've had it long enough. I'd like to see a provider offer 3 free months. Would people who have been using their connection want to get rid of it?
I remember seeing this years ago. It was called Active X.
How is this platform going to be any better than Java. I don't see anyone discussing using this language. Did anyone even care enough to try and find a language definition? Did anyone care enough to install this plug-in?
Absoloutly. I bought an Inspiron from Dell. You could call it portable, but you can't call it a laptop. (Putting this sweltering brick in someone's lap would be unusually cruel.)
It was weighing 25+ lbs. I started to get backaches carrying it, so I stopped carrying it. I boght a Tumi computer backpack to help bear the load, but it was still a miserable experience. Recently, I had to lug it back and forth to a clients office every other day. I decided to go without the DVD and without the batteries. It now weighs 12 lbs.
Anyone considering a laptop, get the light one! Don't let your full kit weigh more than 8 lbs. Less if possible. The Sony that I want is a 3 lbs. machine and it has the same specs as my Insprion, but with a much smaller machine.
Epsiode one was nothing but heart break. It promises to get worse.
I'm hoping that The Matrix trilogy will be as facinating as the original Star Wars trilogy was. (Although, Swordfish was a bad sign.)

This patent was filed on December, 8 1998. Didn't Marimba predate this? Didn't RDF predate this?
Hows this for prior art:
In 1997 I connected to my ISP via telnet and used pine (I think) to read my mail.
