    Mr. Ellis,

Roughly about a year ago, I heard that two more Trans titles (TransOceanic & TransContinental) were in the works. One would be about Yelena, taking up Spider's job in the City. The other would be a pre-TransMet storyline, filling in all the details about:

~ The War of the Verbals,
~ The night of the phone calls in Prague,
~ First introduction to the Beast, etc, etc.

So is there any Truth to these rumors?

  5. Here's a few of my fav's. on What's Your Favorite Underappreciated Movie? · · Score: 0

~ Boondock Saints. Already mentioned, but really good. A sequel is in the works, fyi.
~ Way of the Gun. If you liked the Saints, you'll probably like this one.
~ The Cube. Weird, but interesting.
~ Mean Guns. Not a great movie, but hilarious in it's own way. Picture Christopher Lambert as an assassain and Ice-T as a Mob boss. Nothing really goes for this movie except for the humor I found in it. It's a guns blazing movie with a mambo soundtrack.
~ Dark City. Also mentioned, but worth a rental, IMHO.
~ New Rose Hotel. Not produced all that well, but a decent flick. Based off of William Gibson's short story of the same name.
~ Evil Dead Trilogy. Another repeated mention.
~ Fallen. Really enjoyable suspense with Denzel Washington.
~ The Ref. Great comedy with Denis Leary.
~ Kevin Smith's works. Go in chronological order with these, I'd say. Different people have different favorites, but I haven't really met anyone who hated em. Course, I live in Jersey where they are based. (Not that I live in Jersey by choice mind you.)
~ Desperate Measures. Suspense with Andy Garcia and Micheal Keaton. I liked it.

Any repeat mentions I personally check out. Means there's something there worth seeing.

Right, so I'm by far not all that knowledgable on this subject (i.e. I'm pronably incorrect but feel free to educate me; that's why I read /. ), but here's what I've picked up:

The moon is in orbit because of a gravitational pull by the Earth. It's velocity (or whatever the proper term is in astrophysics) is what makes it seem to change its visible side.

For it to have gained that velocity/trajectory/momentm/whatever, the moon had to have, at one point in the history of the universe, collided with the Earth. The physics of the collision set the moon at a certain range from the Earth. The geography of the Earth changed from the impact, and the moon was sent spinning off into the orbit it has.

Now, the moon was off in orbit over the Earth, having absorbed some kinetic energy from the planet. My current knowledge tells me that the exchange of said energy aeons ago pushed the moon into a trajectory around our planet that is slowly pushing the moon away from the Earth. I believe at a rate of 2 inches a year.

So, I'm wondering if the LaGrange (sorry bout the spelling folks) points are completely stable. Has the math been done to account for the continual shift in distance, or am I mistaken?

I'm a Criminal Justice major at my school and am also a ROTC cadet. Being in my junior year, I've got a year or so before my senior thesis needs to get started on. So this article leaves me with a few questions. They are: 1. Will my professor actually be aware of this law? 2. If the professor actually does, how much trouble will I get in for e-mailing him or her a thesis which supports free speech? 3. Who has dibs on my ass, the military or the state?
