one simple comment. I find it quite sad tat the majority of the posts have absolutely nothing to do with solving the security problem that Undernet is facing. An even worse reflection on the moderation system at slashdot is that fact the the few posts about the issue were not moderated up, and the others down.

Ahh for some moderation points today.

I *HIGHLY* reccommend Shutterfly. I have been using them for a few months now. They have developed about 5 rolls of film for me, and I've also uploaded many digitally-created drawings & CGI to them, and had them all printed to 4x6's, and/or 8x10s. the quality is superb, service is excellent (they answer email in the same day), and the website is quite easy to use.

You can upload directly though the browser, so it is quite platform independent.

35mm Film development is free, they even pay to ship the roll there, and to send you the negatives back.

It amazes me that these people are able to drive cars, but can't seem to puch out the right hole.

I'm not sure that this is the biggest problem, because it is dealt with in the court system.

i think a larger problem with print media (that is rarely seen on slashdot) is the bias that is put on non-editorial news articles. sit down with your local major paper, and read an article on the front page. take two highlighters with you. mark each FACT that you see in the article that is backed up with something. then with the other marker highlight everything that is an assumption, doesn't have a source, is speculation, etc. I guarantee that you will have more of the second color in ANY article than the first color.

Journalists today do not report the factual news, they report the news that best suits the newspaper, or television media for that matter.

check out in a local paper that talks about a couple local TV stations, and how they distort the facts.

the paper (Louisville Eccentric Observer), is one of the few papers I have ever run across that plainly lets you know the bias they have against a particular news item, and reports the facts.

Are print media unable to, because of some physical restriction, to put thier corrections and retractions on the front page? I doubt it. i tend to think they put it on the inside (and quite often in smaller text), because they are not as interested in presenting the news correctly, as they are in presenting whatever makes them the most money.

why would they want to use precious front page space to show that they goofed? I'm quite sure they would rather make a buck.

Seems that having good people working is MUCH more productive than covering up the fact that your people suck. Also sounds like because they continue to use bad help, that in the long run it would be cheaper to pay the good help more, and raise the amount paid to entice more help. it would cut out the job of the "process manager" and would cut the need to fix the bad people's mistakes. Sounds like a vicious cycle to me. Maybe some managers should rethink and find more efficient ways to do thier job, even to the end of putting themselves out of a job. waste not want not.

Leonardo di Caprio hands down the performance of his career as the voice of Moolak the Gnu in this heartwarming classic sure to delight children of all ages.
I'd have to partially agree with you. the Disney Company of today does seem to be far to commercialized, and money hungry. However, I don't believe that Walt Disney himself would have let Aladdin MCXII happen. In fact, there were no sequels produced while Disney himself was still alive.
