OS X is Unix! (Well BSD based)
You would think Apple would easily be able to port over Quicktime to Linux and want to give it away in order to keep M$ from dominating yet another market.
I guess I am just not smart enough to figure out why you would not want to market to non-M$ers. I say give the player away! Make it up on QTpro for Linux like they do with the Win products.
It is the same with the Confederate flag. You cannot bury or forget about history. The fact is the Nazis did very well in their efforts to turn Europe into one BIG Germany, killing millions in the process. Although the cause was wrong, it is a part of history that should not be forgotten.
The same is true for the Confederate flag and associated memorabilia. The U.S. was at war with itself on policies, state rights, and eventually slavery. These facts should not be forgotten either.
You will always have the Skinhead and Neo-Nazi types abusing the symbolism but, that is the cost of a free society.
I have been a customer for over two years, starting when it was beta and real slow. I happen to actually like the ability to be able to send anonymous e-mail once in a while and enjoyed the warm and fuzzy feeling I got while visiting questionable sites. In fact it was one of the few reasons I still keep a Windows box around, since Freedom dropped support for Linux 6-8 months ago.
Now what have they got? A $50 Ad blocker and personal firewall? For Windows only?! I do not envision this company staying in business for much longer.
My REAL question is now: " What are the good alternatives for both Linux, OSX, and Windows?" Cost? How secure is it?" I know I can go to a web re-mailer and shoot out e-mail but that does not keep the website from logging my address. Tacking me etc...
