There is a 'show' called CinemaTech that does that. It's great for that game you haven't seen yet. Problem with it is that sometimes they show older games -- Genesis old -- on it. And that the time spent on each game is not the same. They could spend 4 minutes on Altered Beast, but only 45 seconds on Doom 3.
I felt the quality of the ads for MK2 were (and for the most part still are) the best for any video game commercial. The sets, music, and costumes for the actors all were portrayed in a 'realistic' fashion, instead of the cartoony or comic book prime colors. Heck, it even had a full size cardboard stand up like a movie promotion! Very few video game ads have risen to that level production.
1. Other comapanies adopt this model. 2. CFO is concerned about profit loss due to 'piracy'. 3. Board meeting held. 4. Directive passed to make initial release of the software almost unplayable until the purchaser supplies CD-Key. (if copied, the game is nearly
useless) 5. Ship now, patch later becomes overly rampant.
The pad works great. It does have a few drawbacks tho:
1. If you have large feet (or are a big person) it may seem a little confining. 2. Playing on carpet, the mat slips (to the left for me) enough that higher level songs/speeds are impossible without the fear of falling. I've tried all kinds of non-slip devices to avail. 3. Due to number 2, you have to constantly look down to make sure you are hitting the buttons.

Oh... wait...

Otherwise, it's a great mat!
