If you really want to improve yourself, learn something new. I also have about an hour long commute, and I'm learning a foreign language. I wish there were more subjects that worked so well in audio form.
I have the exact same model, and the logic board went out roughly the exact same time...
What I did: put a folded rubber band between the case and the video chip. That fixed it so i could still be mobile. But there's a big giant bulge in the case now.
What I'm going to do: take the rubber band out and try to get it fixed, and hope they don't mind that it's been apart a few times.
I'd suggest you get yours together, if you still have all the parts, and do the same.
200 FSB speeds are possible on current motherboards, well almost... my IWill XP333 can do 195... and with better memory can probably do 200.
But, the key factor, it has a 1/6 divider for the PCI. As soon as motherboards start coming with this (there are currently "333" motherboards w/o a 1/5 setting) then yes, we will see 200.
Doesn't just about every single volcanic eruption by it self spew far more CO2 in the air than years of human production? How can we say all that CO2 is our doing.
This mod's been out there for quite some time, long enough for others to have performed it. As the one poster said, It didn't work for him. I've been looking on some forums (can't remember which, macworld??) but a few others have tried this, one initially had success but it was unstable sometimes, one didn't have success at all. But according to both you can still change the bus speed to 100Mhz, you'll have to switch the multiplier down to 5. Never the less the instructions are correct!
I've been looking into this because I've been wanting an ibook myself, I want to play with OSX.
For another poster that mentioned the heat issue, this is also in the article. Turns out he added a thin aluminum plate and made it cooler than before.

As a native Houstonian who lives right by The Compaq Center (Always will be The Summit), i thought you were on crack, until i did a google.
Just how many venues got named Compaq Center?
What's really funny, all the hundred or so signs pointing to the Compaq Center were painted "Compac Center".
You won't be getting local news anyway from satellite, and we all know the most important news is the traffic report.
Now that's just what we need, concealed nuclear weapons laws.
Bet we could get some passed in Texas.
Dreamcast uses some flavor of custom ARM for the sound. And it's almost completely undocumented at that.
