I think more likely the reverse, as capability, price and weight of 2 in 1's increase they will cannibalize tablet sales. Why buy a tablet when you can have the best of both worlds. Tablets have more or less maxed out their sales potential, actually they probably went well beyond their max with many buyers not really needing them and only realising after they bought them. sales should decline some more as they lose more market share but eventually stablise.
Personally I am the opposite, no way would I ever choose to watch a movie on tablet when a perfectly good 40 inch screen is just 12 feet away. Far more comfortable to watch that than a shitty tablet that needs to be held or falls over everytime you move. I love my tablet for planes and airports, any other time a real TV or a laptop is better or even a mobile phone.
that is still awesome for the state. the reality is even a few jobs is worth it. without the manufacturing plant you get zero dollars and zero tax, it isn't like you somehow get to keep the $3 billion subsidy for other stuff, it is money you don't have and will never have,

If you have so much CPU power and knowledge of the surroundings then how the fuck did it end up in a life and death situation where it would need to take such action. The whole premise of the question is idiotic, any sufficiently advanced enough system will be able to avoid the scenario in the first place, in the meantime the only sane approach is to program the system to follow the road rules to minimise the risk.

being hired to promote is very different to a standard employment contract, she didn't just "not do her job", she actively promoted the competitors products. In a real sense she isn't hired as a person but rather contracted as a company and that company has breached the terms of the contract in a damaging way. Seems completely reasonable to seek redress for those damages.

Even if Bloomberg realise they fucked up they just claim "freedom of the press" and "we won't reveal our sources". It is extremely difficult to beat the press unless the proof is out their in the open.
DNT prevented regulators and a much better standard from coming into effect so yes killing it was in the best interest of users as DNT was designed from outset to give advertisers free reign with zero oversight and no way to enforce it on them. Basically they were screaming "we don't need regulations look we can self regulate" which everyone knew was a bucket of shit.
DNT was fucked and evil right from the start. It was designed to stifle and block efforts to create a standard that took control out of the hands of the advertisers and put it in the hands of consumers. The advertisers led by google came up with the DNT which they basically promised to honour as long as no one actually really used it. The whole thing was bullshit from the start, calling MS evil for this is like calling Van Helsing Evil for murdering Dracula.
The fuckwits writing the standard as voluntary killed any hope of it being successful. MS were the only ones that had a sane approach at the time with everyone else demanding you had to know about the feature and find it and turn it on. basically they were trying to make this a feature for the technically savvy only hence it was a fail right from the start. Incidentally MS didn't violate the standard, they changed the standard to make what MS was doing a violation as they realised everyone would want the feature on.
TMG is a long dead product, it was announced as being discountinued 5+ years ago and official left support 2+ years ago. So I doubt they would care about updating a dead product you should not even be using anymore.
except of course the efficiency is a myth as you can't get rid of all the other programs unless you think you will be paying enough to cover the sick, those with disabilities, the special needs, the veterans, the special cases. So what you end up with is just yet another system of top of the existing ones.
