  1. Re:tkMOO-light on What is a Good Free MUD Client? · · Score: 1

I've had nothing but success with tkMOO-light. It's small and easy to use. And as other posters ahve noted, the developer is rather helpful. I had a problem with it not recognizing the bold ansi tags a MUSH I play uses. I logged in to the tkMOO-light MOO and asked about it. The developer said he'd look into it for the next release and offered a quick script that solves the problem temporarily. If you're not looking for big super feature rich programs, go with this one.

  2. Ease of installation on What's Keeping You On Windows? · · Score: 1

The bottom line for me is ease of installation. I don't mind tweaking things once my system is up and running, but I hate having to spend hours upon hours just to get thigns up and running initially. In windows, I have drivers for all my hardware. In linux, I've yet to find drivers for my peice of crap modem. Add to that the fact that I already own photoshop and cool edit pro and I really don't have a compelling reason to switch.

  3. Spoilers and moding on The Lone Gunmen Are Dead · · Score: 1

Though I Can understand the frustration of having this little plot twist spoiled and the desire to post in reply to the spoiler your feelings, what I can not understand is how all these complaints seemed to be moderated up to a 4 (and maybe even a few 5s). They don't say anything except, "jeez, Chrisd, you suck for ruining the episode." What good does this do to anyone? And why would anyone mod this up as "interesting?" Last I checked, the purpose of moderating was to give posts with interesting and/or informative information a higher rating so that one wouldn't have to wade through the hundreds of "jeez, chrisd/Katz/SW I/jar jar binks/Lucas/whatever sucks!" messages.
