  1. New thing? on Cell Phone Number Portability Finally A Reality? · · Score: 2, Informative

Oh, here in italy, for luck (we are the second cell phone market in the world, also dogs, in a moment, have their owns), number portability is a reality from about an year.
I just switched my work phone from Wind to Vodaphone iwthout any problem. You buy a new SIM and ask for number portability. They give you a "parking numeber" to use your new phone and, about 15 days after, your old numer is transferred on the new company.
The interesting thing is that phone company offers you everything to keep your old number and stole it from another company ;-P

    See you

And you've to consider that Macs have a much longer life than PCs. My first machine is a Revision A Tibook and works great, also with its "slow" 500 Mhz G4 CPU

Yes with a 3D helmet and two Powergloves, like Jonny Mnemonic. I think it should be just a good first jump to something new.

In this page UcitaOnline tells something about linux and free software. I'have some trouble to understand the real sense (perhaps becaus I'm Italian and I'm not aquainted with polital English).

    Any comment?

  5. SuSE 8 on SuSE 8.0 Now Shipping · · Score: 1, Informative

I'm writing from a SuSE 8. I brought yesterday a box of "SuSE 8.0 Professional"

It's an awensome distro. SuSE did an incredible work from 7.3:

    • Installation is now far better and simpler than 7.3. Everything it's more rationale and you can install a complete system with a few mouse strokes
    • Now You can controll everything from yast2 which has completely replaced yast
    • KDE 3 is a joy for eyes! IMHO only Aqua looks better.
    • rc.config is splitted in many more file in directory /etc/sysconfig, easier...

And many more.. gimme some time to discover everything... :-)

In your opinion what is this, a piece of cake?
Yes, it's an interview but it's a good article written by someone who thinked to ask to some people who are involved in the argument, not to a 14 years old lamer who thinks to be a computer god.

For this reason I post my comment.

Please don't fix yourself simply on the meaning of words, try to understand the meaning of the sentence.

In the industry HA is more important for DBA, TP monitor and application server than Web? Doesn't it?
