There is not one compelling reason for any PC user to upgrade to Windows 8, but given Microsoft's track record Windows 9 will be out in a couple of years and will address that. It won't gain much traction in the tablet market even though Metro is well suited to it, and I highly doubt many business users will switch to it.

Sorry, 7680x4320 means a 16x9 aspect ratio, and a monitor by that proportion is useless for any actual work.
