HIPAA is a real crock of shit. It does nothing to protect the kind of patient privacy people care about - privacy from marketers, insurance cartels, and the gestapo. But it does a fine job of impeding medical research. Which is the one and only case where most people DO want their data shared.

I wonder who bribed B. Clinton, and how much, to get HIPAA made law.

Well hello Comrade Wang - so glad you could join us!

Why yes, I'm go glad you inquired. The revolution is scheduled for this Saturday. Please show up at the Starbucks on 12th Ave in New York at 2:30pm SHARP. Be sure to bring your bazooka, any mechanized artillery units you happen to have laying around, and a brown bag lunch.

Remember there is a secret password so other revolutionaires will know you. When you arrive at Starbucks first order your latte. Then shout, as loud as you can, "I am a cock smoker! Who's your daddy?" That's the signal for the revolution to begin!

Oh, and the US dollar as an instrument of financial bamboozlement. And nearly the whole value of the dollar is backed by... wait for it.. the US Air Force's willingness to bomb the shit out of anyone selling oil in a non-dollar currency.
