I guess this is just for nostalgic reasons but I really have been waiting for a "new" Amiga. It can never be like the old days, and it's probably a good thing, but its great to see a system that's not mainstream refuses to lay flat down and die !!
Also equally enjoyable to read all confused youngsters "wtf is that" comments....;O)
Many forget about the enormous work it is to start from scratch, the card might not be able to compete with the latest offerings from nVidia or ATI but in the value market it can find a place. Next incarnation might be good enough to compete with the latest models from the big ones.
The only mistake bitboys has made so far is that of the PR department trying to hype their product(s), but that was probably necessary to attract investors.....
I figure I get 10-15 spam mails a day. I delete those right away, it take about 10 seconds of work everyday. BUT, sometimes an important mail is "stuck" in-between a large blob of spam and gets deleted too, that's why Spam is bad, very bad.
I think a new email system is needed, not to replace but complement the present. A system that is opt-in based, encrypted and where you always know who sent the email and which server that user is located.
If we stay with the current system without doing anything e-mail will get more and more pointless in the coming years, it will just be filled with spam and virus. It will be no point keeping it, so we might just go back to fax/snail-mail and possible keep IM.
New no 1 best thing that could happen to..

I like nVidia's products, great cards with great drivers. But I think that ATI has done the market a big favor reminding nVidia that there are competitors not just in the value market but also in the performance market.
One year ago it looked like the video processor industry would go the same way as the CPU industry 4-5 years ago, one giant corp. delivering the only viable alternative.
Its always nice when someone comes up with a new concept but it would be nice if these things stays on the drawing board for the sake of our environment, I'm not saying this will melt more iceberg's or enlarge the ozone hole, but its a trend, we don't need more disposal things we need better built things that last's longer, like my unbreakable HP48..
Its a good idea, but they probably will have to have a deal like public libraries or the local video store in the end... but honestly, with the climate today I think it will just end up in court, the (record/movie/game/insert-another-here)industry is terrified by anything distributed digitally and its get no better if its done by a P2P network.
History tells us that statements like "no one is going to need more than 512 kb ram" or "I can not see why any one wants a computer at home" etc etc can be right for the moment but so very very wrong just a couple of years later.
For instance, the new MS license agreements makes many public administrations considering a switch to Linux for the desktop. So far mainly for cost reasones but in the future it might also be for features and programs only offered for Linux.
How much noice (from fans etc) does this thing make ?
I think its very important that new gadgets like this also is as quiet as the rest of the equipment below the tv.
