Thinking that diverse opinions are limited to slashdot is a mistake. You might as well go read Conservapedia if you want to make a social study of various, erm... perspectives. I'd rather have this site be about news for nerds and stuff that matters.
Man, I only have enough free time to read and comment on the things that interest me. Can I borrow some of your free time to have the luxury of not reading but commenting on boring, uninteresting things?
You must be new here. Free time?!? For most of us, this is a freaking job!
I hope "get a beard" is only in the loosest sense(s) of the phrase, as I'm trying to get my girlfriend to run linux. I don't mind some scratchiness, but please not from her face.
I'd say an in-class experience, including talking with an instructor, graded homework, and the recognition (towards a degree) is quite a bit of value that ISN'T included in the online version.
Their two different beasts.
Totally agreed. I see that someone learned his homonyms via an online course.
Here's a link to their download location: http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?hl=en . I tried getting there using Firefox---excuse me: Iceweasel---on a debian installation, and it wouldn't direct the browser to a place to download. Konqueror kept crashing on their "save as" button. So I copied the link location from Konqueror to Iceweasel, and was able to get it that way. Now I'll try it in the latest Wine...

Vyew is working fine with 3.0.1, at least for me.

fixme:process:SetProcessShutdownParameters (00000280, 00000001): partial stub.
fixme:ole:CoInitializeSecurity ((nil),-1,(nil),(nil),6,2,(nil),64,(nil)) - stub!
fixme:winhttp:WinHttpOpen ((null), 1, (null), (null), 0x0): stub
Good for Crossover!

When god is a bit more impressive than 21st magnitude, let me know.
Ouch. You know it's from an old(ish) movie when they get the population of the earth too low by over two billion people.
Along with all the other "major theories" that have every come along? L. Ron will thank you.
Who here still lays Mechwarrior 3? Betcha not many.
Damned right. I had what you might call an "industrial accident" when I tried that.
