I attended a lecture by a senior researcher at LEP at CERN, and I saw many various collision images. They showed many of the simultanius bottom quark/anti bottom quark decays that you would expect from about 70% of Higgs decays. It looked convincing, but I do suppose that it could be background. As much as I don't want the higgs to exist, it did look good.
I bet that astronomers are kicking themselves for not seeing this thing about 17 years ago, when it got started in this phase. It is really neat though, I had no idea that water was produced like this. Makes some sense, though.

Think about it, if the terrorist succeed, and the Taliban takes over the world, do you think open source is going to fair well? You people who disliked it (for all of the reasons I've read) all had the wrong state of mind for the movie. Yes, the writing was bad, yes, the fighting was not the best I've ever seen, but I very much enjoyed it. Why? Well, the fighting was extremely brutal as somone earlier said. In fact, it was SO brutal that it was funny. Someone picking up two motercycles and smashing someone between them is funny as all hell, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THAT. If you have yet to see the movie, please do. But you will only enjoy it if you are looking for a foolish "let's look at a Jet Li break people in half while laughing" movie. If you do, and last through the whole movie without hating it, then the last 3 lines of the movie will make you cry in laughter.
No. It would be so much trouble to make white light in millions of different places in a computer that any possible advantages (I don't think thre are any) would be lost. You need a simple LED to make coherent light, which is easy to work with.
