There are a lot of bulletin boards around the Net that act very much like a virtual community. I have plenty of people who I only know on the Net and we converse on a regular basis. Some of my best friends I know through the Net.
Also, Jon Katz, you could learn a thing or two from Jakob Nielsen.

This is because Linux is so bloody user-unfriendly.
"They are so sophisticated that they have huge secutrity holes, or don't work properly, or constantly work against rather than with the user."
Yet another clearly biased blanket statement with little factual basis.
It might fit but the discs are put in from the top of the box so it wouldn't be too practical. It's a much more imaginative shape (for a game console) than a PS2.
