  1. crusty soil on The Dirt On Mars, In Words And Pictures · · Score: -1, Offtopic

  2. Real player = hurl! on Real Launches New Player, Music Store · · Score: 0

well i havent tried this new version but i certainly do hope that someone at real reads my comments. in the past i have had such bad experiences with Real hijacking every media type on my computer, not allowing me to rip music cds at anymore than 96kbps unless i "purchase" the add-on, it runs like dog poop, just to get it off my system tray you have to navigate through 6 different prompts and every click on their website instantly redirects you to purchase their "full" version of the player. I absolutely refuse to ever use any real product ever again. I have even come across the instance where i wanted to listen to a realaudio stream, but then chose not to because it would require me to install their crappy RealOne player. i don't care what type of things they "say" they've changed. screw real and their moronic set of advertising monkeys

  3. DRM on Microsoft to Launch MSN Music Service in 2004 · · Score: -1, Funny

Microsoft's Music site terms of agreements: By using the Microsoft music service you indicate that you will: a) Not download any music from anywhere else in the world b) Give microsoft your first born child c) Will ONLY use Windows media player to listen to Microsoft's songs otherwise our DRM'ed songs will self destruct the device you are playing the songs on. Something close to those guidelines

  4. Improved Reliability on VeriSign CEO on Commercializing the Internet · · Score: 1

If I were aiming to improve reliability according to VeriSlimes standards I would first make all of my applications monolithic, then I would ignore all OOP practices and guidelines, after I was done with that I would then create one table in a rdbms to hold ALL of my data.

After fubaring all my stuff that way I would then also set my backup server on fire.

I would really have an effecient network then!

I truly hope that if VeriSlime chooses to make the internet more "effecient and reliable" that they will not get away with it. This corporation needs to go under and never come back

  5. Re:Availability of the DNC on Successful Do-Not-Call Complaints? · · Score: 1

I believe originally the FTC was going to charge both the customers and the telemarketing companies for the national DNC, but they then came to the decision that they could get more attention by allowing people to freely signup.

  6. Hackers vs Virii makers on New Microsoft Worm Coming Soon? · · Score: 1

I wish articles like this one would stop referring to virii makers as "malicious hackers". I guess the sheep are too confused as it is, might as well not add fuel to the fire
