Had a similar experience when Verizon "contractors" attacked my neighborhood to install FIOS. Most of them were ESL and they cut/killed my Comcast cable, 3-times in the 2-weeks they were there. I wonder how many other neighborhoods were "damaged" by these contractors.
On a trip to Europe in 1999, I saw plenty of examples of M$ forcing an OS on folks that didn't need it. In places like train stations, I saw them using PC's with NT running DOS applications that would have been perfectly happy on lesser machines with WIN31 or less !
I work with a small 4-station company whos primary application is written in FoxPro DOS and the vendor of the application refuses to rewrite it in Visual Studio or whatever the current "visual" version of Foxpro is !

Take a look at WP11/12. It comes with the option to make it look like WP 5.1, blue screen an all. It is called Classic Mode.
