So, the easy solution is to include a EULA with the pdf that say you won't disclose the names to any foreign govt's where it might endanger lives. By reading this pdf, you agree....:P
Oh come on, this is a valid form of protection, right?
Can someone make a slashbox that picks up this guy's posts?:P
Bad idea: PR disaster, at least if it's public.

I had a similar setup on our ISP home page... but when one person complains (even though it's their own problem) others jump on the bandwagon, and pretty soon it seems that the whole customer base is angry at you for poor service, although nothing is actually wrong for most of them. They just like to complain every time they get a DNS error or site unreachable error message.
Trouble tickets need to be private, and any indication of problems presented to the public should not be combined with a public response web-board. I learned this one the hard way.:(
Actually, vacation time means nothing... Maintaining a marriage relationship is a "real time" job, not a batch job. Interaction is needed on a constant basis, not an intermittent basis.:)
Oh man that just made my day. I'm supposed to run a binary only security tool written by the FBI? ROFL!
Actually, this may work, but not in the intended way... all the script kiddies run it themselves to see if it works - the program reports back to the FBI - BAM! got 'em.
I was quite disappointed with the plugin contest - while I coulnd't do better myself, I was hoping for some better plugins. The best winamp plugin, IMHO, is gueiss (or whatever the spelling is). It's a great way to relax with music...
A lot of people got caught up with that, and yes it is hard to read this article now, *UNLESS* you read a threshold 1 or higher. Then it is very nice - in fact, I did that once some real post had ppeared, and I don't think I missed much.
The correct action for Rob to take, OTOH, is not to ban these AC's or IP addresses or anything: he should recode the nesting display so tat it only goes to a set (user configurable) nesting level. Kinda like the default comment length.
Note, that I still prefer the mouse for web browsing, but a lot of time is in fact lost with moving the hand back and forth. You can't just leave your hand on the mouse unless you are just mindlessly clicking away.
/me notes that I reached to the mouse to post this...:P
Amen

You mean, includes? sure!
that this was announced via a phone call to a radio staion ????
This may sem like a dumb question for some, and I know I've heard it, but I can't quite work out the reason.
Are the distances that much greater, or is there something else that slows it down. Does air slow down the signal?
How the heck can this be redundant when I said it FIRST! #2 post here!!!! :(
I guess it took to much brain power to post.

heheh, I like it.
oooo!!! I like the idea!
Soo.... just simply ask to have the files entered in as evidence! Make copies from public records before it gets sealed!
Oh, wait can't copy encrypted data can we...

Anyone got the skills to code it????
Interesting story, but I really doubt it's true...
true or not, Ada's merits can stand on their own.
Been a while since I looked at Ada... anyone got a link to something current?

Hear! Hear!
My sentiments exactly. After a very rough day, this thread has managed to cheer me up. Who knew that a story about lawyer stuff held so much promise?
Proudly signing my name,
Well, this has turned out to be ver amusing... :)
Nifty!
:P
It's easy to read - I wonder if lawyers will be able to read it...
>Leave your hand on the mouse
:P
How do you type that way? That's gotta be slower.

Quite right... I had forgotten that. Still, I thought it had happened once.
On another note, why was this moderated off topic, but mine wasn't?
Sheesh
Actually, no.
Some time back there was an interview on slashdot where the person getting interviewed got the "first post". and it got moderated up to 5!
(and moderated down, and up, and down...)
I can't make up my mind if I'd really want to be in your shoes or not. :P Popularity has it's dangers. :)
Doh! now I've got the song in my head!!!!
Veggie ta----ils,
Veggie ta----ils,
Veggie ta----ils,
Veggie ta----ils....
duh dum dum dum dum...
Yes, they rock! Very good animation, too!
