The Indian constitution does gaurantee freedom
of speech, but privacy is a rather gray area.
Given the fraction of people using email and the
like in India fall into the educated faction
of society, you can rest assured they won't
take it lying down.
Sadly with the recent muddle of events
of December 13th / September 11th, both
American and Indian goverments are likely
to cross the line all in the name of "National
Security" (tm).
