Mama, just broke thier code
flipped a bit against a hash
showed these people for some cash
Mama, life had just begun
But now I have broke the D-M-C-A
Mama, ooo
Taken by the F-B-I
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
A dreamcast in an office building sticks out like a nun in a strip joint.
Maybe if you hid the dreamcast in a suitcase or hid it under a bunch of papers in a filing cabinet, but not by itself.
The BBC already made all of these books into VERY HORRIBLE AWFUL made for TV movies.
If you thought they butched HHGTTG, wait til you see this!
PLEASE, JUST LEAVE BOOKS ALONE! *cries*
I bet because of all your quirky little precautions you are being watched 100x more closely than everybody else.

The creature in the sky
Got sucked in a hole
Now there's a hole in the sky
And the ground's not cold
And if the ground's not cold
Everything is gonna burn
We'll all take turns
I'll get mine, too
Carmack and Linus look very similar.
I think they are actually the same person living a double life.
He may fool you with that phoney norwegian accent, but I know the truth.
It's not being used to catch and prosecute hackers. It's being used to study what tools they use and probably thier habits. (Do they often return to the scene?)
I learned this in quake: Step 1: Lower gravity to 0 Step 2: Wait for enemies to accelerate upwards. Step 3: Increase gravity to 255, watch enemies splatter all over the ground.
The ideals presented in the book are taken out of context and made to look absurdly facist.
In the movie one of the cadets says something like "What good is a knife in a nuke fight anyway? All you gotta do is push a button, SIR!" and then the drill instructor says "Put your hand on that wall!" and throws a knife through his hand and says "The enemy cannot push a button if you disable his hand!"
The drill instructors reply in the book goes like this: "If you wanted to teach a baby a lesson, would you cut its head off? Of course not. You'd paddle it. There can be circumstances when it's just as foolish to hit an enemy city with an H-bomb as it would be to spank a baby with an axe. War is not violence and killing, pure and simple; war is controlled violence, for a purpose. The purpose of war is to support your government's decisions by force. The purpose is never to kill the enemy just to be killing him...but to make him do what you want to do. Not killing...but controlled and purposeful violence. But it's not your business or mine to decide the purpose of the control. It's never a soldier's business to decide when or where or how -- or why -- he fights; that belongs to the statesmen and the generals. The statesmen decide why and how much; the generals take it from there and tell us where and when and how. We supply the violence; other people -- 'older and wiser heads,' as they say -- supply the control. Which is as it should be."
It's funny how as soon as the FCC 'goes after' a person, that person becomes insanely paranoid and narcissistic.
If eminem died in a plane crash tommorow I don't think MTV would have any problem with profits.

If you chopped off the chasis number on a car you own, it doesn't hurt anyone but yourself.. Why should you go to jail for that?
Just to know they can.
There are honest people who just like to tinker.
For DVD of the first 3 (are there more?)

need to start selling roms.
They need to be realistic:
There is a demand for them.
If you make it so people don't have to "hunt them down", i'm sure atleast some people will pay you a buck per game.
Making a buck per game from some people sure beats making no money because the only way to get ROMs is to pirate them.
Do they actually expect people to keep thier NES hooked up to thier TV for 20 years?
I wasn't late in the game for that. I was screwin with ANSI bugs back in the BBS Days. =) The most annoying one was the "beep" character.
The troglodite council will have your head for this!

Why can't they make these things look more like a nice pair of sunglasses rather than a Techno-Cowlick?

As soon as someone shoots one of these things at you, just pull out yours and fire it right back at him only reamplified =)
That's what made it so bad.

It's shameful how bad that movie was compaired to the book. Heinlein is rolling in his grave.
wow, that's pretty scary.
:\
If you can make it hang up, can you make it dial (ATDT)?
Imagine some goon on IRC makes your modem dial his number so he can grab it on CallerId and then harass you.
if after it dialed it played popular music using only dial tones.
Maybe the rolling stones "Start me up"..
Works beautifully in WinXP (once you patch the refresh rate thing)
froze instantly as soon as I put in my Orinoco wireless PCMCIA card. =(
That and it didn't have accelerated ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility drivers.
Maybe these issues will be fixed now?
Please? *cries*
In 2004? Read William Gibson and take a good look around the world today =)
