It's the same reason companies have their marketing department tell customers about the product rather than engineers. Marketing will tell you why it's great, engineers will tell you how it could be better.
Instead of rerecording 'clean' versions of their songs they should use their creative abilities to make fun of censorship.
I like what Nirvana did with Nevermind. Apparently some nut jobs were offended by seeing a naked baby in a swimming pool and they wanted the album cover censored. Kurt Cobain said "Sure, but only if there is a small stick over the baby's penis that says 'If this offends you, you are a closet pedophile.'" The cover remained intact.
Does this mean my website in 1998 may not have really been "BEST OF THE WEB"?! Now that I think about it, what about all those poetry contests I won? The other poems they published sucked. It was Almost like they accepted anybody!
OH MY GOD. SO MANY GOLD STICKERS -- WASTED ON MEDIOCRITY!
It takes infinite amount of energy to accelerate something to the speed of light. It's theoretically possible for something to travel faster than light if it somehow had just popped into existence at that speed (How that would happen I have no idea).
As for Cherenkov radiation, the speed of light is only constant inside a vacuum.
The first link shows that 1,4 dioxane is a known carcinogen in animals and a probable carcinogen in humans. The second link shows that sodium laureth sulfate (SLS) is in many beauty products because it makes a nice foamy lather and that it has been shown to be contaminated with 1,4 dioxane. If you want to know if SLS is used in shampoos, just go to your grocery store and look at the labels, or just do a 3 second google search.
I'm sure you can find many other references to this, it's pretty well known.
Shampoos are filled with nasty chemicals. When their marketing department says 'comes from coconut' it means "we use sodium laureth sulfate" -- a known carcinogen. It's also what makes your eyes burn like hell.
A closer example would probably be John Carmack. He has most the traits you mentioned, but on top of that you don't ever really see him as politically active and instead pours a good deal of the money he makes straight back into developing new technologies.
It's not a hard stretch to say that Romero is like Peter Keating either.
But in any case, I'm sure most people would be offended to be compared to any of Rand's one dimensional characters.
Ask 100 people to list 10 respectable professions and 'Teacher' and 'Police Officer' will be on everyones list.
How many motorcade parades do you see for construction workers that get hit by cars while building the roads you drive on?
"if society has a problem with their cops, society needs to look at it's own attitude towards the profession as the culprit, not the actual cops themselves"
That is an insane statement. Replace the word 'cops' with 'lawyers', would it still be valid?
"NET is a thinly disguised layer to 'pretty up' some old MS technologies"
What do you mean by this? Can you give an example?
Oh yeah? Why do you think there is no life on mars? THINK ABOUT IT.
Because the car is partial. Why do you think it has zero emissions?
Ugh. It was your sister's birthday, couldn't you drop the crusader bit for one lousy day?
I'm sorry, but this story just wreaks of petty selfishness. Don't let morality get in the way of being a good person.
How is this outrageous? If anything what he is saying is common sense.
What is that supposed to mean? Rights may be endowed by the creator, but they are sure as hell enforced by the state.
Ignore it.

you're too old.
I thought nVidia was sponsoring it?
When can we buy parts of the wreckage on ebay?

or in otherwords:
But mommy!! I want it *NOW*

Photons are particles. It happens when a *charged* particle exceeds the speed of light (Electrons). Photons are not charged.

Just use lye like baby powder.

I'm sure he would be offended by the comparison.
Woz is somewhat of a philanthropist. Roark is 100% self-absorbed. You would never see Roark donate money to anything, let alone to save trees.
Is a C in an advanced math class equivalent to an A in a lower math class?
Fudge the numbers, not the students.
