So in other words there saying if you dont watch the commercials you are stealing it? So if i watch something on T.V. and turn it off as soon as there is a commercial and turn it back on as soon as the commercials are over, im `stealing` ?
This is above all stupid i think. People use PVR so they can watch something they missed, or something they like a lot, So now its time to get mad at people that enjoy the shows that you produce ?
that gives u how many amazingly large offices for there CEO. Or is this like that movie Rising Sun, where all the CEO's get a hideaway love palace and bar for those *special* occasions.
Yes they may see blocks of code that are similar (not that likely). bnetd had no way to get the battle.net source code and can not be in trouble in anyway. the code will look similar but so would a lot of applications anyone makes anywhere. I don't see the makers of UT sueing iD cause there code is similar in Quake 3 Arena, or Sun sueing Linus (or BSD or any) cause the linux (or BSD) source code looks similar. Blizzard is stupid, there games blow (personal opinion)(except starcraft), Battle.net is lame, slow, and unreliable.
This is stupid and a waste of time and a 95% garenteed victory for the bnetd project peoples. I can't wait till this goes to court.
another note:: using images on a website? wtf i could go to more then 5 dozen other websites that have Blizzard screenshots and there not getting sued.
It's not bullshit if you get the same service, which is nicer, and simpler for cheaper... Battle.net is a pay-per-play service and they expect people to pay if someone can reverse enginer the protocol and make it better. THEY made the protocol as well as the original server and (according to what i read) it sucks. If they want people to stay with them make the *ucking service nicer.
I may be simple minded but the name of this 'product' is misleading and sounds like a 'bait and switch'.
The name CIFS simply applys 'COMMON Internet File System' Protocol... I don't see anything common when the only people that can use it is them. you get a 'common inet file system' only guess what, it's not common, and you can't use it on half ur network (applying half your network is *nix):)
I understand what i say will not hold legally, but isn't this somewhat of a problem?
hehe this is very beautiful. Only now after you have created your cd art how do u get it to look the same on paper? do u have to get special transparent paper:) hehe.
As for the layers... Those glasses give you as much 3d as you want by spreading the red and blue imagges apart farther to make them appear closer. (in reality that is 2 layers as well, the TV and glasses) But if they can do it with a normal tv and cheesy paper glasses im sure they can make it look that nice (and much nicer) with 2 LCD's. People are posting about putting 3 layers into it, only what would that do besides make the monitor more confusing then it has to be, and what would the 3rd layer do? (1st=color, 2nd=white) whats the 3rd?
heh, i don't know if many people watch movies but to me i personally cant wait to see this project. All i have to do now is watch Anti-Trust until it is. To me it sounds like ur making exactly what they did just on a smaller scale. An amazing implementation to see would be something wonderful for the world. If this ever does become, hopefully we can see something out of it too:) leak some source here and there or just release everything in like 2007:)
Duh!
If you have 2 programs, with same stuff but different processers side by side and you run any type of benchmark you can see this. What you just asked was "How do you know a Pentium3 is faster then a 486?!?!":-D

seems some people have to read a little closer :-/ Unless everyone in the company is a CEO that is a lot of space
/*for storage, conferences, etc */
$room = 13 million square feet / 2;
$room_for_each_ceo = $room / $ceo_count;
that gives u how many amazingly large offices for there CEO. Or is this like that movie Rising Sun, where all the CEO's get a hideaway love palace and bar for those *special* occasions.
`Boss to Secretary` : Nice shoes, wanna $#@^?
