killing a virus by a virus !!! interesting if all that VSV causes in humans is mild flu then it's no problem. but i'm not too good in biology.. but if this VSV can infect cows etc ( i don't know what it causes to them.. i presume something more that just mild flu ) so it's effect is different in animals from humans. so will the delivery system work in humans !
the sites already been/.ed.. i wonder if they thought they were being smart by putting the rate/submission/info on different ports of the same machine !
Oh yeah that'll speed it up 3 times
My entry for the stupidest joke !!!!

The speed up achieved by writing the whole OS in assembly isn't much. you just can't compare it saying parts of linux was written in assembly and that got 10-40% speedup. That doesn't mean it'll scale up in propotion.
Turjanmaa doesn't even have an estimate on how much speed up he's achieved. but my guess would be not more that 10% over linux. cuz the most accesed part of linux is already in assembly, so you won't have huge speedups.
take a big mirror and reflect the light back on the Art Deco charmed building.. soon the ppl living there will have enough of their art deco and turn the damn thing off;-)
what if someone decided to build a taller building around the place.. won't this beacon even if it's highly focussed get in the way and disturb the residents of that building.
they deny it now .. check the latest on dawn.com
