For example, alot of the files in the default policy file (setup for redhat) don't exist on my system (suse) and if they do exist, their in different locations. I can guess that this will be pretty much the same with debian, turbo, caldera and others as well.

If you take a look at the moderation rules, you'll see the explanation for this, but I'll try to explain it here. Any post received by a user who is logged on, in this case, Valdrax, is automatically moderated as a 1, even before the moderators get to it, while any AC post is automatically moderated as a 0. So since he's logged on to /. as Valdrax, his post automatically receives a 1 whereas your AC post and the others before you received a 0. So its moderation was automatic rather then moderated up by an individual as you may have thought.

  25. When will they just let it die? on Slackware.com · · Score: 1

I've been using Slack for a few years now, and recently installed RH, debian, caldera, etc.. and found that I can't stand the file structures of any of them, the only one I've found thats close is SuSE, and thats because it was originally based on Slack when it first started out. So now I'm running one Slack box (this one) and another SuSE box for playing.

Slackware won't die as long as distros like the above are still treating the users like MS has been for years. RPM's are better left for the MS migraters rather then the user who wants to actually learn Linux.
