My teacher decided against a textbook and saved us all a lot of money by providing links to wikipedia articles on each topic we cover. Obviously not ever professor out there is up in arms, but I do realize that the subject of the class matters a lot (I'm taking a computer science course).
Doctor 1: I'd make the incision there Doctor 2: Right, I concur *click click* Doctor 1: wtf, ping is like 1000 Doctor 2: omg lag. Doctor 1: You cut his heart in half Doctor 2::( Doctor 1: fucking tk'er
I think it comes down to speed, it doesn't matter how I spell definitely, the message still comes across and I don't need to spend 1.001 seconds trying to determine the correct spelling. One might say I'm "maximizing" my "bandwidth" while "reducing" my "overhead."
While I personally like the brushed-metal style, I remember a lot of apps that would remove it from the Safari Beta; replacing it with the aqua look. I'm no expert, but is it possible such utilities will be made for the finder after Panther's release? Maybe someone with more knowledge of the UI could elaborate.
Isn't the style of input like a fractal in a way? "Zooming" in on a single letter shows the entire alphabet in the space of that letter and so on (sometimes the letters are really small due to the softwares prediction). For the records, I coin the phrase "Fractal based input";-).

Obviously you're not into doing something just for the fun of it. Sure I'm probably only going to play Halo online once or twice online, but it's FUN to set it up and get it to work. Halo works very well as a large multiplayer game because it was developed for a LAN of xbox's, supporting a max of 16 players. The difference between doing this with a lot of tv's and the same over the internet isn't different in terms of gameplay. Sounds to me like you have a problem with the Xbox and it's LAN capabilities, not connecting over the net....
The Xbox runs a modded version of windoze XP, the games won't run on ur comp right off the bat. The xbox has a modified geforce3 and a unique memory setup (someone correct me if im wrong) so it'll need some SERIOUS hardware and one hell of an emulator. Personally I'm hoping for a VGA adapter so I can play halo on my 21 inch monitor:^>.
Pepper Spray - Counter with 1:1 ratio of water to Maalox sprayed into the eyes
Teargas - Counter with rags soaked in vinegar over the mouth
Lightgun - Sunglasses?
We can only hope that crowd control technologies continue to be this easy to circumvent

The PC/MAC version is still in development so it's possible, but really not likely. Hopefully halo2 or maybe a mod. Keep your fingers crossed!
