I'm rather partial to Andromeda myself. I just can't figure out a middle name.

I live in South Florida, and our situation re public transportation is probably similar. We have it, but would I use it if I didn't have to? No, probably not. For me, the buses aren't convenient. They aren't frequent (both in time and space)enough. Plus, we have room. I'm in the West Palm area and there's lots of freely available parking. It's not a problem finding a spot, and for the most part, the only place you're going to find parking meters is in downtown West Palm. (Parking garages too.) On a side note - Tri-Rail travels from West Palm to Miami, with northward expansion in the works. This is probably the shining spot in our system. (Plus they have really decorative trains. Click and see.)You can go to and from Miami on the weekend for $4. Plus, once you get to Miami, there IS a decent public transportation system. (Metrorail, Metromover, buses) That's a deal you can't really beat, especially since it makes for a really cool day trip.

Start packing. I can think of instances down here (So. Fla. ) that I've read about in the paper where businesses have been sued under the Americans with Disabilities Act (I do believe, this was a while ago). The gist of it was, the suits were not nessecarily asking the business to make the changes req. by the ADA, just asking for damages, say $2000, or so, to settle the suit.

I've been wondering for the past week (since actually noticing my #) just how long I've been reading /. I do still enjoy it.

  5. I have a t-shirt with a pic of it! : on Green Bank Telescope Goes Live · · Score: 1

Seriously, my family held a loosely organized family reunion up at Watoga State Park for most of July. (People came & went) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there when they went to go see the telescope, but my Dad brought back a t-shirt for me. He said the tour was a little dissapointing, owing to their guide being newly hired. There is also a presentation held where they show off a piece of software that lets you submit a request for an "image" of a portion of the sky, and later help analyze it when it gets to you.

It really sounds interesting and I hate to think I missed it. But I also missed most of the deer sightings and the bears that came nosing around the cabin one morning.

Located in Lake Worth,FL. 10th Ave & Congress, pretty much. Right now it's too bright out to see anything, but give it a few hours. We went shopping yesterday, didn't see any fistfights. The most violence was inflicted upon my mate who kept screaming "hysteria" at me, by me. Our camera is pointing out the westward window in the computer room. As of noon, nothing much happening but a lot of wind. A seed head from the chefflara tree out front fell down, but that's it. ungulate.net/floyd

...one of those cheap Multias selling a while back will work well. Grab yourself a power inverter and a pair of speakers, you'll not only have an in-car mp3 player, but a very portable one at that. The friend of mine who has done this wants to fit some small type of monitor, to see what you're actually typing, or rig up something like say to read it back to you.
