This link to an article on NPR, http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=90947943, was also in a short show on the Science Channel about magnetic fields. So, I think that the reader should not state that there is no evidence that the molten inards of the Earth are not the probable cause of our magnetosphere.
I agree with you here, and came into this discussion to say pretty much the same thing. Here's my part:
I looked at the site comparing the two logos, and well umm, they don't really look that similar to me either. I even think that if they took the entire logo as a whole, the 4 ducks one pink, it means standing out in a crowd don't you think?
I don't necessarily think Microsoft is the most creative company out there, but this logo isn't similar to the Tux logo in most anyway, aside from them being birds.
Aside from the "new" front page of the government search, it's the same as it has been. The http://www.google.com/unclesam search has been available for years. I guess just changing something that has almost ALWAYS been available with a new look, will make it a BRAND NEW product.
I love it personally, but come on it wasn't really NEW news.
I really wonder what AT&T thinks about all of this to do with AOL and Time Warner. AOL is a competitor of AT&T in both the home internet and long distance telephone market. Will they bury the hatchet and play nice and make money together or will AT&T pull out of Time Warner?
GE could do worse than to talk to the manufacturers of RVs. One of these in an RV would be great. Then you wouldn't have to stop in some RV park to get power for the night, nor rely on a generator that is loud in an otherwise quite enviroment. It could be powered by one of those propane bottles that you hook up to the little bbq grills. I can't wait to be able to read the article.
It seems that this is a step in the right direction for quantum computer, but how in the world would something allocate and infinite number of registers of memory. Would this "exciting" of the atom to which the electron belongs in someway eventually change the atom? How can it be possible that an infinite amount of data can be placed in one electron without it altering the spin or changing the atom in some adverse way. Anyway cool idea. How'd we get here anyway?
They don't even necessarily pass the bits. They just provide you a link to the computer that is holding the file that you want. At the time you hit download you and that computer that has the file are connected. Peer to Peer. I don't believe any of it goes through the Napster servers.
What did this guy really think he was doing? He probably could have pulled it off had he not been such a weirdo. I mean sheesh. And hell if I had 16 Million dollars to spend I don't think that I would be spending it on some kinda party. Big Giant Head of my computer.
Talk about Mars. I am waiting to see that new movie I think it's call "Mission to Mars" now that in my opinion would be better than Phantom Menace. I love SCI-FI but Star Wars has lost it's flare.
What company out there is better for this sort of product? I am looking into having a personal site hosted somewhere with a database as well, I will just go with trial and error if you can't really trust the comparison sites.
Is there a company out there that people already know about that is strong in every sense of the word?
This seems like something that an "association" has no time bringing up at all. Where does that AFA think the city libraries get their money from. The public? Hmm I think so. I hope that there is someone actually fighting on the side of the Constitution on this. What does this censorware supposedly censor? Just porn? Or political sites as well and the such? I'm thinking it censors whatever the people who make the software want it to censor. Come on now that rather a smelly pile of bullshit. Long Live The Constitution.
Linuxone's website does look a lot better than it used to, but the people that placed the $500,000 order has a website that blows big chunks. I know my website isn't much better but come on, if you have your own domain at least accept email at your own domain not from hotmail. That all there is to say about that. Apparently it's a hoax to get money. Hell I can make a website and say that someone is ordering stuff from my business. They'll be found out soon enough
Well I never really put much thought in to it, but here goes. L0pht Heavy Industries. Perhaps it means Low Phat as in Low Fat , Heavily Used as in high speed low drag industries.
They should be pouring money into probes of Jupiter, because at least that planet and it's moon have at least some activity. Mars for all it's worth seems to be a dead planet. I'm not saying we'll find intelligent life in our own solar system, but it would be nice to try and find some life on a planet or moon that might be more capable of sustaining life than Mars?

By default Wordpress produces short urls.
Wow, I had this picture I swear back in the late 90's.

I wonder why Ballmer is still there? Could it be that the board is scared to fire him, in fear of him going postal on them all.
Congress busy? Doing what?

lol, beautiful! never knew this one.
The site www.sco.com is running Apache on Linux.
Sorry I just find that rediculously funny.

I always thought that L0pht stood for LOW PHAT as in Low fat as in high speed low drag.
