    Due process of law was suspended shortly after the constitution was written. It gets in the way of things ranging from an innocent police questioning marathon all the way to holding terrorists in Cuba. Human rights are being eroded because it is inconvienent to keep them in place, and this is justified as the 'Greater Good'.
    Solemnly, their 'Greater Good' has become protection of the State and its allies. Allies not like Great Britan, but like Enron. The 'Greater Good' has allowed society to become what it has feared most: A Stalinistic state. You'll cry that you still have freedom, but it is only perceived freedom. You are allowed to do whatever you're doing now, not because it is your right, but because it does not get in the way of the government's 'Greater Good'.
    A sad day indeed.

    Plus, If the coders extend the networking to cover IP instead of IPX, we can net-game with it!

    I used to spend hours and hours over the modem playing Drunken Duke Nukem with my friends over the modem, but only one at a time. Two-player is not Multiplayer.

    If they put it to IP, there goes my productivity!

    I have two words for you: one-way compatibility. Remember Kerebos? Microsoft tools for Unix, etc? This will not allow other OS'es to interact with .NET servers, but will allow .NET servers to interact with other servers. Same old story, now patented and ISO approved!

    No, no tariffs, but as the battery size increases, the price increases even more-so. For one with the same CCA during boating season you're looking at a little over twice the price. I was exaggerating the price a bit.

    Been there, done that. I had everything from the IBM repair manual to the Samsung part number which doesn't even show up after searching their site. Form letters have just ended up in the bit-bucket. I'm probably going to have to take it into a tv repair shop and get them to meter it, as I'm not even sure my meter would hold up true past 1K volts. I've even asked around on a couple of forums, with no luck.

    In case anyone else has a contact at samsung, it's a LT133XB-122. FRU is 05K9377, ASM P/N 05K9342.

    What kind of thinkpad? I have a 380Z with a broken backlight in it (it uses a CCFL) and I can't find the specs for the screen to get a new bulb. The IBM FRU is $500, but I can get the bulbs for $3 apiece if I knew the starting and operating voltage. I just don't want to put a meter on it, as it can have a starting voltage over 1000v, and my heart ain't as strong as it used to be.

    I've even gone sofar as to contact the lcd manufacturer and the inverter manufacturer, but I can't get anyone who has the proper info.

    This may only work with one specific game, but the hackers may be able to extract important info from this, or be able to do the same thing with other games. A console on an unmodded xbox is a good thing, and may lead to a great thing. Who knows what info they'll be able to get from the box now.

    They should have introduced palladium on this. That would have stopped the Buffer Overflow, and protected them from viruses!
