Yes I would! Abstract what you wrote as "addressing all non-X/Y or Z as A". The way any normal person would parse this is to assume that the subject here is the category of things either non-X, Y, or Z, which collectively have the characteristic A. I see what you were trying to say, but that's not what you wrote, at least not using the standard grammar the rest of the world uses

Certainly, a valid observation about the Greeks. They were almost certainly like most of the near Eastern people of today - olive skinned. Yet their "whiteness" was used to justify European cultural and racial superiority. Since modern European culture owed a lot to the ancient Greek it would never have done to have them be non white (gasp!) Hence their "whiteness" was taken for granted. Assuming that alien life is fairly common in the galaxy (big assumption, but in fact every discovery that comes in seems to be pointing to the presence of life elsewhere), and we're fairly late arrivals on the universal scene - our solar system is a mere 4 billion years old, i always wondered why some militant civilization run by the likes of Hitler, or Genghis Khan, or even circletimessquare hadn't just wiped us out a long time ago, before we even got started? I mean all it would have taken was one such militant civilization to corner a big chunk of the galaxy. One answer was that millions or even billions of years ago battles were waged between civilizations to keep the galaxy safe. That certainly seems possible. Another answer i came up with was that civilizations don't develop the technology for interstellar travel until they evolve mentally and spiritually to the point where they are no longer interested in colonizing someone else but in true exploration. From all accounts of UFO craft, they appear to be noiseless and pretty fuel efficient. My guess is there's enough energy in the vacuum and ways of warping space that allow for such travel but until we stop waging wars we won't get to discover what that is.

Case in point: The oil and coal barons contributed heavily to Dubya's election. Dubya reneges on his campaign promise to curtail CO2 emissions in order to reduce global warming. Massive outcry. Dubya looses lots of brownie points with the world. Still he's stuck with the fossil fuel lobby's money (him and King "Coal" Cheney), so there's no backing out of his stance now.
The problem with tobacco industry studies was not that they were funded by the tobacco industry. If you don't understand that, then no study will ever persuade you of anything you didn't already accept.

What happened was barbaric. No doubt about it. But there is an almost complete
absence of discussion of the real issues. And without a discussion of what the
real cause of this it will almost certainly happen again. Firing a bunch of
cruise missiles at Afghanistan may satisfy some immediate cries for revenge but
will in all probability solve nothing in the long run. As reasonable people I
am sure you are all worried about what a republican government might try and
push through.
