Honsetly... about 2 years ago. I had an older analog cell phone sitting next to my computer. At the time I had the case off and was timkering when a call came through. You guessed it, the machine crashed. I was able to repeat this accidental experment and later used it a practal joke on a friend of mine.
here is a clue for the quasi-ehical... No proof of purchase is required for less than $100 of stuff. So just check those damn boxes till you have 90-something bucks worth of stuff.
Just wait 15 years, when we have domestic robots all powered by Microsoft Windows RXS (Robotics eXperenxce System note: they kept the Windows name for marketing reasons only)
Then some twit comes along and writes a worm that tells these bots to access the kitchen library (KitLib32.dll still no 64 bit proper support) and execute the "meatTenderize()" routine on everything made of meat.
The first person view sounds cool, could inspire a new film technique
Ummmm... not new. Checkout the movie Strange Days (one of my favorite flicks). The opening sequence is first person of a armed robbery, shootout with the cops, and ends with a 3 story fall right onto sidewalk. One goddamn wild ride, I tell ya.
then try this link for those of you who don't know what a "space elevator" is (and insist on hanging around here). It is a faq on a study done on the concept. More info is also on the site.
Damn... damn them to AOL. With Shoutcast I got rid of my radio (literaly) and my TV time has been cut waaay back in favor of NSV (Nullsoft Video, think shoutcast for video) and sold the TV in my computer room in favor of NSV.
I'm thinking its a good time to build an OSS replacement for ShoutCast/NSV. Based on Matroska mabey.

I believe the term is "self-cleaning oven"
See a doctor... Really.

I just realized what I did. I get it. Pr0n. Boink. BOINC.
ba-dum dum. I was refering to the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC)
Ohhh like "Spyware Hunter", or that trojan horse simulator game, or my favorite "WormHammer 2005" by Symantec.
watching pr0n is not "real work"
It can be...
Seriously though, I wish they had used the BOINC platform. Oh well...

Not to sound like a troll, but if you feed 2 starving children in 10 years time you are going to have 4 starving children...
Feeding them will only perpetuate the problem, finding out what is keeping tem from feeding themselves and fixing that is what should be done.
As well as reducing the general population and increasing functional education levels in a self regulating system.
