  1. PCBs firmly linked to Cancer... on Monsanto and PCBs · · Score: 1

There are at least 209 kinds of different PCBs, some of which are highly toxic, some of which are reasonably inert, but the results of studies have time and time again shown increased cancers in populations of humans exposed to PCBs. The risk is real people.
One of the scary things ive heard is that the average American has borderline danger levels of PCBs already...

  2. Re:There's only one solution. on Monsanto and PCBs · · Score: 1

In a land where justice can be bought, corporations will never fear it.

  3. Re:Monsanto akin to evil corporations from the mov on Monsanto and PCBs · · Score: 1

This is typical of what we have come to expect from these enormous corporations, profit is everything and worth ANYTHING to get... just look at the fucked-up ness of the world at the moment and i bet you can see corporations in there exploiting it.... like the $20 billion of US arms sales to countries last year, countries which now, funny enough are at war... The future is one of corporate government, get ready to be assimilated.

  4. Re:My Defense of Kazaa: its good for beats on KaZaa Ignores Court Order to Shut Down · · Score: 1

yeah i agree, its almost impossible to find decent dance music in shops, and it always seems to be more expensive when you do find it... i think the nature of dance music- with its obscure bedroom producers releasing white labels of one astounding track and then disappearing, makes it impossible for the mainstream record industry, which is more geared towards bands and albums. Ive downloaded some absolutely stomping tracks, some of which have been ripped from vinyl! If morpheus/kazaa gets shut down it will be a damn shame, but the RIAA is a dinosaur which will soon be extinct.

  5. The corporate whoring certainly does! on Universal to Copyprotect All CDs · · Score: 1

I hate the cartel; bands like limp bizkit are created by the same people as the pop boy bands but for a different demographic... Promoted on MTV, commodified and marketed to death... where is the originality? Obviously this has been the case with a lot of pop but it seems to have gotten far worse now... Youth culture(TM) is owned by 5 massive corporations... This must change... I say screw the corporations, they are killing our world. Go the crackers!!

  6. FOTR/LOTR from New Zealand (much prettier) on Grand Theft Auto Still Banned Down Under · · Score: 1

Australia has the outback, a vast expanse of nothingness; it has beaches and rainforest too, but New Zealand has middle earth.... and a few sheep too.

  7. mainly dumbass people clicking on attachments!!!! on Uber-patch for Internet Explorer · · Score: 1

so many of those virii are propagated by stooopid people clicking on email attachments, the main problem is psychological, teaching people not to click on wierd looking emails... btw i use ie, its fast and reliable. But mozilla rox too....

  8. Record companies had it too good for too long? on CD Copy Protection Head Speaks · · Score: 1

The easiest way for record companies to reduce piracy is to reduce the price of their cds... i know i would buy a lot more if the price wasnt close to AUD $30 for a 5 cent cd.
I think the record companies are scared the cowed mass consumers are starting to realise just how much they are being shafted, if it was just 1337 hax0rs then they wouldnt care...
An another note, i think the corporate world hates the internet and the freedom of information it provides, its a huge threat to the pointless consumerism they need us to believe in.
    /conspiracy theory!

  9. Re:Requires Alternative Hydrogen Sources on Consumer Hydrogen Fuel Cells · · Score: 1

i think this unit is more about convenience... it does seem ironic that so much energy is used to crack hydrocarbons to make the hydrogen... i think they are trading on the supposed environmental benefits a little too much (can you say marketing!)

  10. Re:More, Not ready for primetime on Consumer Hydrogen Fuel Cells · · Score: 1

its all about incremental development... hopefully market driven. Remember cell phones used to be carried around in suitcases, but as the commercial viability increased and more people got them, research dollars flowed in and now every 12 year old has a credit card sized nokia. I am predicting solar panels printed on a continuous flexible sheet, which you can unroll and put anywhere. nuclear power is a dead end, they are still arguing over where to put the waste... ewwww

  11. Thermodynamics: the depressing science on Consumer Hydrogen Fuel Cells · · Score: 1
