If you can't profit well from your work in 50 years then 90 years isn't going to help you. I don't see how the possibility of 50 years of profits is going to turn away anyone from creating art. The thing that discourages people is the likelyhood of making any money no matter what the copyright period is.
IP laws aren't God given rights, they are just laws. Lifetime exclusive ownership is a flimsy proposition and any time after that is corporate gouging.
Why should he (or his estate) retain any rights after he is dead? He's profited handsomly for many decades. At some point they have to stop sucking on the teet of work they did 50+ years ago. He may not like it but the laws should serve society as a whole and not just the recording industry.

Maybe the pattern to look for isn't gross similarity between messages but predictable patterns of simularity and randomness within messages. If the central paragraph is repeated but the last lines are always random, spam!
Can we add people who drive in the breakdown lane a half mile or more to get to their exit during backups? I'm not talking about doing it a few hundred feet ahead. I've seen people who have actually had to pull over almost get hit by these selfish idiots.
Raise speed limits on highways to reasonable levels. No one drives 55 on highways anymore and those that try to are as great a threat to safety as those who quickly cut between busy lanes without signaling.

What if you went through airport security and instead of saying "you can't carry that penknife on board" they just said "you have something forbidden"? When I code an error message into a piece of software I don't just say "You did something wrong" I know what the cause of the error is so I tell them.
