    Before enacting this lame-a** idea they should have done the research. Set up a simulation of a movie theatre, Steal the movie themselves. Try to watch it.

    instead of concentrating on developing new and innovative plots and story lines the Hollywood Studios are spending a lot of money to try to stop people from stealing a bad copy of a movie which only serves as advertisement for their movies.

    If the "stolen" movie was any good, the "thief" would then go out and purchase the DVD, or VHS for the extra features.

    Like with music, this censorship will do nothing to halt the freedom of information, and it will only serve to raise the prices of movies in the US so that more and more people will choose not to go.

    Take gun, display foot, Shoot foot.

    did you make copies? After failing so many times I'd imagine that you'd scan or photocopy your data so that you would have some evidence of company or postal wrong doing for the FCC.

    Did you tell your mother that filling our rebates wasn't something you were successful at?

    What is the reason for it?
    Cable companies don't lay fiber to the curb and max out at 2MB/s if they are generous.
    This is an educated research community that should benefit from a decent infrastructure.
    Also, a move like this by the people will be a kick in arse to the verizons and comcasts of the world.

    Cable companies are doing well.
    Then why aren't they laying fiber? Because they are shoving monopoly legistlation down our throats.

    $40 a month (to the government)
    TheirGovernment and its cheaper than what I'm paying now for 2/100ths of the service.

    Government conspiracies require government money and someone with a clue, and they just aren't there.
    And since the Federal Government already signed away your freedoms (see Patriot act, Patriot2 act) nothing a local gov. run ISP will do will affect you an differently except making the world you live in a better place.

    Well the sad thing is that Overclockers are a very small minority of the world's population and hence Intel's customer base.

    Even among the geek/nerd community you are a minority.

    Its something that some people do as a hobby while the rest of the world is using that time more productively. Buying a computer with twice the speed every two years is enough for most people and businesses.

    On the other hand, Grandmothers, and Home users are a very large customer base. And Intel would rather them not be turned off of computers because they bought it from some schmuck who took a 2Gig process and Clocked it up to 2.5G and then sold it knowing full well that it would die in 3 months.

    data is on the hard drive, or in memory. No cpu that I know of will erase an entire hard drive in a freak mistake...It'll just stop working.

    Some schools require that the parents sign all homework that gets turned in!
    New Report in: More and more of these parents are found to have improved math and reading skills. Student scores remain the same.
