Your average Linux user doesn't even touch the kernel. They find it tedious. Most people I know don't even update individual packages...they'll just be downloading Fedora Core 2 when it comes out.
Personally, I do like upgrading my own kernel to the latest in the stable series. The only unstable kernels I've run were 2.6.0pre3 and 2.6.0pre11. I didn't set 2.6.anything as my default kernel until I 2.6.0.
Fpr you, maybe. My computer sits at the head of my bed, and I have a 1/8" stereo extension cord so that there's a jack hanging on the bottom of the top bunk.
Personally, I'd like a portable music player that'll handle my 2.5GB collection of music. Consisting of MODs, XMs, ITs and a few other module formats.
There's tons of that stuff out there you can download for free, in bulk, off of FTP and archive sites around the world. I've got enough music in those formats for continuous play for 160 hours without hearing the same song twice. (Well, there's the odd duplicated file, but other than that...)
It does it over a short range, though. A lot like the ID cards they have around where I work. A staff member places their card on the black panel with the red LED, and the door unlocks.
...but why aren't the graphs loading? I can see that they're Flash, but when I right-click on them, it says "Movie not loaded" and "About Flash Player"
If you do manage to see the "movies"... would anyone mind converting them to GIF or PNG?
Uh, ebola can get absorbed through the skin. And it causes massive bleeding for anyone who's infected.
If you get a drop of ebola-tainted blood on your skin, you've as good as got the disease. There were serious issues with volunteer docters being infected during the ebola outbreaks in Africa.
That quote doesn't make sense. I saw a video clip of him announcing something (I don't remember what) in Germany, while Nazis were on the rise. He something like "I am re-affirming my existance as a scientist...and a Jew." (That's a seriously butchered quote so far as my mind can recall.)
From what I was told in (American) high school, european governments are built with the notion that the people can trust the government to act in their interest.
America was founded due to the abuse of power by its "owner," King George of England.
*sniff*
I'm going to miss those free coasters and DVD cases.
Whoever's left at the end is no longer immortal...his aging continues where it left off.
It's easy to quantify the savings. You include or exclude uncertainties depending on who's paying you for the study.
Do a gnutella search fot "*.vbs" ... You'll find various .mpg.vbs and .mp3.vbs files, generally between 1K and 3K in length.
Yeah, there are plenty of people who are gullible by length.
Everyone is a hyppocrite, in some form or another. All you need to do is twist logic to justify what you want.
I run into it all the time when I'm explaining my views to other people. Especially my parents.

Calling someone a fool in public is only a service to those people who already know they agree with you on everything.
Use the friend/fan / foe/freak system for that.

Well, considering that their entire civilization packed up and moved in, perhaps their civilization had managed to gain the require patience?

Except I can see the ads. Including that animated one off to the right that looks like an animation in space.
Because it would have brought up ethical issues a bit too close to Floridation and McCarthy's witchhunt?
I don't know the real reason, but that would be a good enough excuse for me.
I'm curious if that bit is preserved when pages get moved into swap space. It'd be interesting to study the kernel mechanism for Linux.
It should be simple to pass the flag into gcc and see if the kernel still works. (It should.)
Unless they do odd things like generate code on the fly, it shouldn't be a problem.
JIT runtimes might have problems, though, if you forced the flag in, say, your Gentoo installation.
How quickly would you answer your phone if the ringtone was actually the CEO already talking, and you knew he knew you could hear him?
I bet it'd be a bit quicker. Especially since you could simply tap the device and speak in order to signify you were listening.
Kirk: "Operator! Get me Engineering"
Operator: "I'm sorry sir, but that line is bizzy."
Kirk: "How can that line be busy? I have a direct line!"
(ringtone)
"Lt. Limey here."
(Ripped from "Star Drek", IIRC)

Don't you remember how bad CmdrTaco's April Fools was last year?
Except that they're also accustomed to seeing movies on TV.
The worst that could happen would be the movie would have television scenes that look credible enough to be seen on CNN or FOX.
Wait...now that I think about it, Geiko commercials have taken care of that possibility.

They're allowed to choose what Microsoft has to offer, it's just a separate download. The OEM can still bundle WMP, if they want.

Easy test: Have you ever suspected your boss of quoting brochures?
