    According to the article, that's negligible. The real problem is the energy people use to go get the DVD at the store. Buying online or renting online and getting the item in the mail is as efficient as streaming.
    A very salacious headline, but not very factual. Look for a similar study for groceries, coming soon from Amazon.

    Thank you for clarifying your comment. I agree, but unfortunately a significant portion of American's don't want to hear dissenting opinions. Any middle of the road program that shows both sides risks being defined as liberal to conservatives and conservative to liberals (NPR).

    Anything intelligent is drowned out by a cacophony of imbecile's. Meanwhile you have pseudo intellectuals that know how look smart without saying anything polarizing, or stick to one side of an issue.
    People put more stock in the opinions of these psuedo intellectuals then they do people who are truly expressing and analyzing things that require intelligence.

    I have suse studio live cd that you can use to create an inline network capture device. You just need a machine with 2 nics. Realistically, you can use any live cd that contains tcpdump. If you are interested, let me know. Then you can ship me a tcpdump to analyze with you.

    If uverse is any example. You will still get plenty of discounts. It's impossible to compare costs because everyone is on a special. You can even lock in most of the special prices through the website, without a phone call.

    The whole point of uverse was to avoid dropping new line to every home in a block. You upgrade the nearest termination point to fibre and push everything through copper. Bonus, you don't have to allow anyone onto your new fiber connected site.
