    35 with 5 kids, married young and had children right away (not particularly religious). I think it was worth it. I am just getting to the point where I can see my finances being ok on the horizon. I make good money, it just doesn't go far and I make the choice to pay higher rent for better schools.

    Children can be the meanest and most selfish people you will ever meet. Then they suddenly switch around to the sweetest and most caring. If you do not have children in your life you are missing out. They don't have to be your children, but interacting with children is one of life's joys.

    Plus they laugh at my old jokes. Everything old is new again!

    If you are ringing a register at walmart, you are probably spot on. If you make north of minimum wage you should be able to pull ahead of the "freeloaders". You are just lazy and jealous.

    Most people argue that these are entry level jobs for part-timers and high schoolers. They have their blinders firmly in place.

    Sometimes they even catch-up at say 5 gallons, or short you for the first 1/2 gallon and then catch up. There are a million ways to be a crook.

    Whenever I hear of someone like this they inevitably had some "investments" they cashed out. If you push, it turns out these were substantial inheritances or cash gifts that really earned very little in the way of investment.
    Occasionally they got lucky in some sort of early career and now they putz around as a photographer.

    Well hopefully they have acquired hard assets with those loans. Those fore mentioned guns and ammo are a start, along with property to defend.
