    Afew weeks ago, my son came home and asked me if his Grandmother was going to be thrown out of the country if Trump won. She is "Mexican" (born in the US to immigrants, married to a retired military officer and raised 8 children by him).

    That's what we get with Trump, FUD.

  2. These ships are really designed for Rail guns. They aren't ready yet, but they are close enough to the horizon that it's hard to justify these projectile costs.

  3. FSF helped me out with a problem I'm having in my school district. They mandate Apple ID's, but don't participate in the program to create Apple ID's for kids. You can only create "under 13" apple ID's if you have existing apple infrastructure. Apple makes it a pain in the ass at every corner and doesn't support PC's or android.

    false, India provided alot of troops and money for the UK, among other contributions. It did do relatively well after the war. China was pillaged by Japan. You've never heard of "The Rape of Nanking"?
    That immediately tells me you have little concept of history.

    I prefer winSCP to filezilla, although, to be fair it's only a UI preference.

    I also avoid storing passwords in applications.

    Lately I've been using MobaXterm It wraps up the SSH and SFTP/SCP client in one place. It also allows you to run unix commands from windows, for example, scp and rsync.
    It's not Open Source, but there is a free version. It also gives you a forwarded X session, ssh tabs, and runs from a single executable (portable).

    That looks great for tearing apart buildings or furniture. I doubt it has the kinetic energy of a 3 lb or 5 lb sledge. Maybe if you hit point first, like a spear instead of using it like a hammer.

    I don't think you know the definition of fact. Nobody wants to, can, or will federalize the police. Is this some sort of far-right bogeyman (like common core) that I haven't heard about yet? There is no issues with having standardized expectations for local police.

    They want accountability, which has to come from some central authority or a transparent process. Either or preferably both.
    I live in a town with no Democratic candidates, does this look like small gov free market behavior to you?

    All those things that are convenient for you to check, are also convenient for those around you to see. Smart watches, even aside from their bluetooth leakage, are terrible for privacy.

    I'm not sure what your saying. We don't need gun rights enshrined in the constitution. For example, there is no constitutional prohibition on murder. It's just not an appropriate place for that sort of regulation.

    I have private opinions that don't match my professional acts as well. That's life, not hypocrisy. See Tim Kaine's excellent explanation of his view on abortion for an example.
