What deliberate transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich?
Let me educate you... * mortgage deductions enrich the wealthy at the expense of the poor * Stock inflation by quantitative easing and stock buybacks * Policies that favor 401k's over defined benefit pensions
There a many other policies that essentially inflate the value of assets at the expense of those with labor to sell.
I see plenty of people that would prefer the poor be poorer if the rich can be a just a bit richer. They're bolstered by those who are less poor and still able to lord it over the poorer poor.
well, now I see why your so woefully mistaken. This link is to a radio program, well researched. I linked to the wikipedia page describing it, to provide a synopsis.
Yeah, people get lucky all the time. There are probably dozens of people reading this who have found a $20 bill on the ground. That doesn't change what it is, just because people want to pretend their exceptional, or hard workers.
SS is designed to avoid piling up cash. Everyone thought it was a bad idea to have big cash piles sitting around, which history has shown to be true. Big cash piles are bad policy.
There was so much cash looking for an investment, a bunch of crooks relaxed lending standards to capture more of that capital. It has nothing to do with the government, unless you count lack of action.
Police don't enforce the law indiscriminately. Their presence might reduce some crime, but cause radically different outcomes for different people. One's minor transgressions are ignored, while another's are cause for he/she to enter the system where charges begin to pile up for minor transgressions. They eventually learn from others in the system and graduate to larger crimes. Our goal should be to keep people out of the penal system.
This isn't about teaching, it's about enabling communication. Teaching would just be an extra. Communication is the real value here. It's easy for people in a connected world to forget this.
UCMJ, Article 138 (Chapter 13), protects a soldier's right to complain and request correction of a grievance against his commander.
Your other rants are just an asshole being an asshole. You can't get away with that shit in the civilian world. None of it would get you in Leavenworth, just dishonorably discharged. That will warn others that your an asshole with poor impulse control.
I actually started the procedure to get into West Point, but was bumped because of my poor eyesight. I have brothers who serve and my Father and Father-in-law both retired from the military.
You should really sit in a corner and think about how you can be a better person, but since nobody is there to make you, you'll just keep being a huge asshole. I'm sorry you have to live with someone like you.
I think you forgot to hit your capslock. I can feel your spittle hitting the screen.
I think we can both agree that the PO pay scale tops out much higher then the TSA. I wouldn't call them comparable. The Military is a whole different story. TSA agents don't get paid housing, their benefits are not as good, and they are not as "entry level" as the military. It's apples and oranges. I did a quick google search on unionizing the military. I see it's a big conservative talking point. The kind of argument that shuts down everything (because it's stupid). You can't compare the Military to any civilian or other government organization. Soldiers actually have more rights and (of course) responsibilities then other Government workers. I come from military family.
Why is it OK for police to unionize? Why do they refer to others as "civilians" as if they are military?
Some asshole company (uber?) would program their cars to park in no parking spots and fire lanes. They would move if someone tried to ticket them or a fire truck is coming. They'd bribe someone to make it legal to use handicap spots because the can move easily (in theory). In reality the handicap person will have to call a call center somewhere in another country where they will wait forever to get the person on the other end to understand what they want, then a car near them will "move", but they won't be able to find the spot that was vacated.
Yeah, homeowners are going to be excited tying into some sort of corporate billing system that pays every 90 day (usually late) and requires a ream of paperwork.
Here's where real world collides with nerd world. I already park at a stadium every day. My employer pays for parking there or gets some sort of deal from the city. There are frequently days when there is not enough parking because of some event. Stadiums need to use their parking, often.
You might believe that, but it's almost certainly not true. What do you think is the most expensive part of owning a car? Gas. maintanence? insurance? No, it's depreciation. Depreciation is not a zero cost when your car is sitting doing nothing. Not to mention opportunity cost and other business costs.
The car companies will know the approximate number of cars needed for each neighborhood, and when they will be needed.
I love how people always assume a perfectly efficient model that just springs up because it's in their best interest. In reality, if it saves the cab companies $0.16 / hour they will have too few cars and you will be perpetually waiting, unless you are subscribed fast pass customer. Your fast pass will only be good in certain areas, you'll need multiple if your fastpass company doesn't think two seperate areas you frequent are worthwhile.

Elon's stuff has nothing to do with AI. This point still stands.
AI will not happen in our lifetimes, unless Aliens bring it.
Well said, the sky is only falling for rent seekers.
I'm looking for any citations indicating castration reduces aggression in humans, but nice try avoiding the question.

Wait...? People still believe that load of crap?

Too bad for you, we have a constitution.
It's ironic you view prisoners as sub-human...
guess why.
Every evening around 8 - 10pm, my internet becomes unstable. HBO go, netflix, even when i was trying to order something from Walmart...

2/3rds of this thread is wild speculation.

For an SDC, the cost of waiting is near zero.
