I have recently had my 60gb stop working for me. All of they symptoms are that of the "yellow light of death" however, the light simply flashes once on initial start up (about the same time the fan kicks on high for a second) and then you never see it again. If the system is cool enough to start for a bit I find it stays on longer with video in component mode VS. HDMI then eventually the display will either become stuck displaying what ever I am looking at, or turns a hue of green and pixelates. (This happens within five minutes.) Most likely the system will sit with the green light on doing seemingly nothing. My point? I like how SONY has specifically looked at postings mentioning a yellow light and not so much on having issues related to the GP. Thus far I have been only given the option to send it back in for 150$ for repair. I would imagine heating and cooling the connections would cause more wear that keeping the system at a constant temp.
It is spelled Underverse. Once there you are forced to join legions of coders programming for the grand ruler, the MCP. Eventually you come to terms with your metalife, metawife and your metapaycheck. Your only hope for survival is successfully saving against MCP (metachlorian count + roll). You must seek out the golden D20 of Yendor! Go forth adventurer... don't forget your towel!
Growing up all of the schools I saw turned a blind eye to bullies, name calling etc. I still don't see schools doing much about this kind of thing on the playground or in the classroom. Now that it is in the digital realm, which in my opinion is easier to ignore, are they pretending to care? Also, at what point is the action bullying? Truth hurts at times and since when are we protected from the critical eye of another?
They want to implement this within 20 years? By then you will be able to buy the easy-bake missile kit to give to the kids for their birthday. Way to spend tons of time and money on a system that will protect you from 20-year-old tech. I second the "way to fight the symptom not the problem"
It is good news indeed to see new support for hardware encryption. VIA has offered hardware encryption for some time now, including a very nice Random Number Generator. It's Quantum even. I just hope IBM has a performance increase similar to that of VIA. A lack of backdoors would also be a plus.
