I go to CMU and work for the psychology departments comptuing support. Well about a month ago, our server crashed and our backups only partially restored. So I hopped on a new machine and installed linux. We switched it over to the network and created some accounts with easy logins so the teachers could get their stuff back up. Needless to say, less than 24 after being online it was hacked. While not malicious, the hacker did use our box as a staging point to make DOS attacks. I caught the guy a day later when I started getting emails from companies and kicked him off. The wierd thing is, the attack happened on the 10th of April. The same day Tepper was breached.
I use redhat 7.3 and Openbox. It supports XMMS for MP3s and MPlayer for DivX/Avi/Mpeg videos. I also have stable versions of Apache/Samba/MySQL/PHP/Perl/Gcc. So for people like me is there really any perk for updating redhat?
first of all, sony is not trying to keep this information secret, it says that a cable can be used to upgrade the quality clearly in the users manual (thats where I got the information). the problem with me is that i have the dvd player using that cable because it will increase the dvd quality. So what you really need is some sort of splitter that will split the cable so I can use my dvd and ps2 without having to switch cables and/or flip some sort of odd switch.

The means that photons do not age. The light created at the big bang is the same age as it was then. If light is slowing down then so are we all because we do not have enough motion to travel through spacetime with.
Now, IANAP and there may be more information that proves this wrong (supersting theory for example) however I am not sure.
lets see, i drink about 3 cans of soda, 12 ounces each, since the first ingrediant is water id say about 8 to 10 ounces of the soda is water... so thats 3 of my eight, for dinner i drink water or something, probably another 2... so thats five, and probably about eight ounces for breakfast, damn thats 2 left. And even with 2 left i consider myself well hydrated... hmmm maybe eight is too much.
that is a good point, here is another question i would wonder:
we have x mass and convert it to n energy. (n = xc^2) then after a million years since speed has decreased so would some of the other facters as well, mass perhaps for example. If one of these does not work then E=mc^2 does not work. I'm not sure about this but if x or n decreases at the same rate c does then the equation still works. So if c is decreasing, then musn't mass and energy decrease with respect also?
I think we are missing the point of that experiment. It was to prove that Einstein was correct with concerns of special relativity. The intended results were not necessarily to be exact and accurate but to be existant or non-existant. You see, they were trying to prove if time was relative to motion, which is something that Einstein theorized in special relativity. If we had put 2 clocks on a bullet train traveling at 500 mph instead of the aircraft it would have produced positive results. In otherword, the times on the train and the times on the stationary clocks would have been billionths of a second off. This will happen with or without the gravity and rotation of the earth, these two factors only effect the severity of the results.
My thought would be that before light reaches zero (or when it does, if it does or can) then the universe would reset itself and there would be another big bang. Therefore, resetting light back to 'near' infinity.

I know a simple solution, Linux! It looks nothing like the windows GUI.
