When I was graduating college and looking for jobs I had my resume in Word format (I know, I know) and some of the sites were looking for HTML format and I used the Office export and decided that it looked like crap so I rewrote my resume in complete clean HTML.

I realized that I was fighting with this for way too long and put a single comment link:

"If you have bothered to read this I want to work for you!"

I really doubt that anyone ever saw it but I felt better knowing that I hacked code for my resume and that it was lynx-OK!

Wow - that was a long time ago...

We were upgrading our machines at work from 233 to 2G XP boxes and I managed to grab a couple of the old machines I have running 24/7 in my workshop with tons of dust w/o too much of an issue I also have an old 13" B/W monitor and POS key/mouse Underclocking the pre-P3 to run w/o HSF also helped out with the fear of bearing death I tried booting on a Terminal CD to have no HD but too much dust so now I have just have an old 2G HD in there w/o the CD or Floppy I also have another identical CD imaged and ready to go wrapped up and duck taped inside the case if that one ever gives up the ghost Anyone who spends any money to put a computer in the workshop is crazy - just dust out the most decommissioned box and let it run Just think - any money that you spend on the 'puter is money taken from that nice DeWalt joiner that you've been looking at

I too jsut graduated in May and am finding the work world different
I wanted to do networking (on route to sysadmin) but for now i'm developing sql and building on hell of a data whorehouse
point is that there "comtpeur world" is pretty damn broad - I used to love the networking but hated coming home from work and having to fix my computer (too much like work)
now i'm developing all day and come home and build computers for other ppl and toy w/ networking and linux on my own time
it's differnet enough to not drive me nutz while i'm leaning a shiznetload of new stuff

Real work/proj/deadlines suck but real paychecks rule!!!
