You were trying to argue that romance novels aren't book with a Piers Anthony book on your desk? Holy pot - kettle - black. Piers Anthony had a couple of ideas sometime in the 80s. Since then he's been beating that horse for every penny that it'll produce. He probably uses Linux to run the computer program he wrote to write his novels for him. I stopped reading them around the age of 13 because I realized they were all the same!
I'm going to done the flame throwing gear and wade in to this. I don't know where you are but I've never been to a place where a community college could compare to any but the weakest of universities. It's like VoTec or something. If you want a bunch of kids who are too dumb, lazy or cheap to go to a real college or university, go to a community college. Everyone there is basically bullshitting each other in to believing that they're getting the same education they would at a 'real' university. It's basically all the credits, none of the work. To the original question: Go somewhere that will kick your teeth in and make you do the work.
Just to carry this out to its logical conclusion (a word of caution: I'm not sure who all is mentioned in the law suit). I would also find the entire movie industry contributing (far more over the course of a lifetime than a video game that an individual plays for a few years), the television industry. Some portions of the music industry (especially Gwar!:). And the parents for being negligent in their duties to their kids. I think we have a whole slew of multi-billion dollar industries to start mounting legal proceedings against. The first ones to be sued should be the parents of this nation for opting out of the educational process (i.e. raising and training the kids that they bring into this world) and then we can move onto the people who have eagerly taken over this task: the media (maybe we can spare sesame street and the teletubbies). Maybe we can get the states in on it and it'll be bigger than that tobacco settlement.
